ORIGINAL: DarkSteven (Emphasis in red added by DaddySatyr) Actually, Romney. Obama is in the exact same situation as Bush was in his reelection campaign, and has chosen to follow the same tactic of demolishing his opposition. Just like Bush did when he Swift Boated Kerry, Obama has pulled Romney down with Bain and the tax returns. Obama will reattack Romney with both, but will attack Ryan in Florida with the push-Granny-off-the-cliff ads. And to refine what you said, all that matters is the likely voters in the swing states. We know what will happen in Alaska, the South, Idaho, and Utah. We also know what will happen in New York, California, and Oregon. We need to know Florida, Virginia, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. At least one newspaper in Missouri is claiming that they are a "swing state" this time 'round and they have Romney leading by (I think it was) 9 points in a late July poll (28 JUL, I believe). I think the DNC needs to realize that there are a lot more "swing states" this time than there might usually be. This is not a typical election cycle. I remember taking a "Oh, well. We'll see" attitude on election night 2008. I also remember the look on Ofailure's face when he left the Whitehouse that first time after the election. I told people then that I thought he had gotten a big dose of reality; that he had seen just how bad off we were. He looked, actually, "burdened". The grandiose promises he made have failed to materialize. He can blame Bush all he wants but he assured us he could do better. He couldn't. He failed and now, a bunch of us (even in states that some view as "already democratic") are going to hold his feet to the fire and get him down off the post. Peace and comfort, Michael
