Its done. Obamas alliance designed to hand Egypt to radical Islamists has accomplished its mission. At the very least, if that was not the plan then this is the result of Obamas sheer stupidity:

http://www.nytimes.com/2012/08/13/world/middleeast/egyptian-leader-ousts-military-chiefs.html?_r=1&hp

http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/158831#.UCj566DleSp

Our military infrastructure should NOT be in the business of aiding our enemies, and that it is being done so overtly is all the more scandalous

Well, damn. I hope they mellow with leadership responsibilities.

Um, Sanity, Egypt's people overthrew their leader Mubarak. I'm not sure what he could have done differently - he seems a little hesitant to invade Arab nations at the drop of a hat, and with good reason.

With Obamas help and blessing, the Muslim Brotherhood fomented a takeover, Steven. Egypt had been a moderate, stable Middle East nation, but no more.

Which side do you want to take. This is all Someone else's fault, or Mr Obama did this all with intent? If this was all with clear intent, than the next 4 years will be a blast.
His way seems to not invade whole countries, but to do things under the radar wilth a high level of deniability. The slippery slope of Mission Impossible.

Wow! What a guy! That Obama sure is something! He managed to instigate and direct the whole Egyptian revolution last year, mobilising all those millions who threw out the US puppet Mubarak, getting rid of the US's own puppet and installing a new Islamist one - all accomplished without leaving his desk in Washington. Or so Sanity would have us believe.......

Such a talented person is obviously wasted in his current position as POTUS. Clearly he needs something that is a bit more of a challenge, something more suited to his extravagant talents - what would you suggest Sanity? A greengrocer in Boise? A stage hand in Bollywood? Writing the news at Fox-TV (now there's a job that demands imagination!)? A traffic violations clerk in Galveston?

And, with his puppeteering skills, got the Muslim Brotherhood to ask permission and get accordance to waltz into the Sinai and kill terrorists from the Israelis (would we assume they were muslims but not brotherhood, getting cakked?)

There are problems in Egypt no doubt…but…so far at least I see a reasonably inclusive democratic governing.

Time will tell of course but until they prove otherwise we should support the democratically elected government.

If we truly support democracy throughout the world then we should be prepared to deal with governments and their people that disagree with us and try to find ways to settle problems without threats of military intervention.

Democracy or not if they prove to be a threat to their neighbors then we may have to deal with them differently but until then guidance and respect for their elected government is the best course to follow.

Not exactly. The stability was an illusion, and when Mubarak fell, it all collapsed. It was pretty confusing for a while with the different factions.

I'd not heard that Obama directly assisted any factions, including MB.

What were you saying about lies and scare tactics on another thread, there was no military intervention in Egypt from America, despite your paranoia ?

Would this be the same democracy you told us the Iraq invasion was about ? Maybe you have a democratic democracy and a republican democray, with differing meanings ?

He didn't in the real world. In the Right wing blogosphere and on talk rado, who knows?

I've documented the aid we've given the Egyptian "rebels" and its available to savvy web users to look up
