Maybe we have a nonsensical apples and grapes comparison. As in, Iraq wasn't handed over to radical Islamic extremists as Egypt was

Would this be the same democracy you told us the Iraq invasion was about ? Maybe you have a democratic democracy and a republican democray, with differing meanings ?

With Obamas help and blessing, the Muslim Brotherhood fomented a takeover, Steven. Egypt had been a moderate, stable Middle East nation, but no more.

Well, damn. I hope they mellow with leadership responsibilities.

Um, Sanity, Egypt's people overthrew their leader Mubarak. I'm not sure what he could have done differently - he seems a little hesitant to invade Arab nations at the drop of a hat, and with good reason.

Cite direct, unbias evidence that this is all factual and truthful.

No you havent. You made the claim about US military infrastructure, that is a flat out lie.

The line below, from your OP.

"Our military infrastructure should NOT be in the business of aiding our enemies, and that it is being done so overtly is all the more scandalous"

Egypt wasnt handed over to anyone, since the US had no input into the rebellion, other than condemning the violence by government troops.

Iraq, on the other hand, is now run by a party with close political and financial links to Iran. yes bro, the same Iran you constanly accuse Obama of backing.

Seems to me you need the whole of the middle east political system explained to you. Far from Syria turning into another Iran, Iran is backing the current regime. Saudi and the UAE are backing the rebels, along with much of the west. Saudi also financed AQ, with most of the 9/11 hijackers being Saudis. Add to that much of the ME is split along Clan lines, as well as religious ones.

So to sum up, not only dont you know the difference between socialism and communism, you dont know the difference between Sunni and Shia.

Egypt also had free and fair elections and they put these folks into power, something that was not allowed for Iraq, while under our military governance, we told them which candidates could run.

So the nonsensical comparison is more like apples and teabaggers.

Or shit from shinola, not that he cares to begin with. I find it hard to imagine anyone with that much rage and such a distorted grasp on reality not being on the FBI's 10 Most Wanted list, but they seem to be in ready supply. Worrisome.

I full well know the difference between the Sunni and the Shia, and I am obviously more knowledgeable about Islam than yourself or even most others posting here. I am also aware that we havent been discussing said differences... Just as I am aware that certain leftists cannot possibly debate honestly because the facts are always against them, and they must resort instead to low-minded personal attacks, and their typical derails, and their mindless straw man arguments, and their silly obfuscations, and their blatant lies, etc.

And for the record, communists are merely socialists whose power mad leaders have all the power their dark and stupid hearts desire.

And, yes - the United States absolutely had a hand in gifting Egypt to the Muslim Brotherhood. I have spent hours here documenting that fact only to have the moderator delete the thread on a whim, and I wont bother repeating my work or contributing here on that level again until this web site becomes more stable.

Further, it isnt amazing that leftists can only think of trying to change the subject at seeing the news that Egypt is now in the hands of extremists, but it is sad regardless.

You forgot that Myanmar is still at the hands of a brutal military dictatorship. Obama's done nothing!

What's Mitt gonna do? Invade Egypt? Loan them his magic underpants? Cut their taxes?

Wow. Frightening development.

Reminds me of the way Hamas came to power.

You know, after Bush insisted on free and open elections.

And all of a sudden we had a a new enemy. A terrorist regime in power.

But that did not in Egypt did it.

The Egyptian people made their choices all on their own. Without American interference.

They ousted a brutal dictator that was the American puppet and put in place a government they believe will not be a puppet to America. And good for them.
