Profile length isn't a big issue with me, it comes well after other considerations.

Frankly, I look first and foremost for something that inspires me. That's very unusual to find, but I do run across it upon occasion.

I also look for someone who understands enslavement at a level or depth similar to my own. I don't care if we agree or disagree about the substance of issues so much; what I look for is someone who thinks deeply about things and is capable of viewing a subject (or 20) from a number of different angles, including some original ones that I've never thought of before because he's invented them.

Thinking isn't nearly enough of course. Armchair theoreticians of all orientations and both sexes are some of the most boring and confused people I know. But thinkers in the deep end of the pool whose thinking also provides solid evidence of their actual experience sucker me every time.

Explicitness or non-explicitness is not a pair of scales I'm used to using. Again, for me, it's mostly in how it is said, not what is said. "How" tells me a lot about the level of sophistication of the individual I am dealing with, his ability to handle truth and other difficult matters, his attitudes, his creativity, and his passions.

Words like charm, brilliance, wit, even wisdom do not covey the whole I am trying to describe: in fact, they chop it up into manageable bite-sized pieces, that, because they are "wings torn off a butterfly," or isolated, dead qualities no longer a part of a whole individual, convey virtually nothing. I do not value any of these traits in isolation; what I elect to observe--and occasionally value--is how someone gifted with these qualities applies them.

These things open the door, which is what a good profile should do toward the sort of individual you are aiming it toward. After that, a lot of content, ideally spread out over an expanse of time, is very good as it allows me to gauge consistency. Anyone can put on a brilliant act for a few hours, days, or even weeks. I want to know what's beyond the act, where and what the substance is. A written track record is very good for determining that.

My profile is not turned off. It is broken and I am too lazy to make a new one.
