This thread is just to blow off steam on something that I became aware of a few minutes ago.

I have a fairly nice profile.  It's long, but it's luxurious, something that I've put a lot of time into, and am justly pleased with.  I'm seduced by words and think I do the same with my narrative.  The latest message in my mailbox was from a submissive who let me know that someone else has taken my text and inserted it wholesale into her own profile.  Now, I suppose it's *coughing* flattering that someone would like my profile so much that she would want it for herself, but I'm head-twisting angry that she stole it and passed it off as her own.

Frankly, I'd love to shout her handle from the rooftops, as mudslinging as that is, but there's really no way to prove that I wrote the text first.

Thanks for reading.

GRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!

I think anyone who copies another's writings are disgusting fithly pigs and should be bought off quick!

I can tell you're genuinely pissed, and this isn't meant to negate that, but just think of all things that could happen and then compare that to having your website profile copied by some dumbass on the 'net...it won't make you instantly feel better,b ut ti should start to lessen the anger over it.  Even if it doesn't get sorted out, just remind yourself that in the greater scheme of things, irritations like this don't amount to much in the long run.  Hope it works out for the best

For those who offered their own experiences or constructive criticism or kind words, thank you.  It's creepy and annoying when someone steals not your stuff, but your thoughts.  Yick.

Yes, I know there are much worse things that can happen (one's novella can be stolen!).  That's why I said I was blowing off steam.

As a coda, the offending profile is not on CM anymore.

Steal your profile? Not even close to the low.

How about "Masters" who keep trying to hit on my real time slave?

Or slaves who keep approaching me despite knowing I'm settled?

And I'm still shaking my head in consternation over this incident:

What can ya say? It takes all kinds.

Sadly things like this happen on every website. It's repulsive that people are so bored with their own lifes and thoughts they have to steal someones on the internet. Blah.

How/why did this get resurrected?

Oh ... and the long profile I mentioned isn't there at present -- in case you looked and wondered if I were exagerating.

Someone did this to me also.  Contact support on the other side and tell them.  With me, they removed her words.  She then did it again within a few days and when I contacted them again they deleted her account.

What a shame.  The travesty of all of this is that I enjoyed the profile of Aileen"69" much more than that of "68"....It's such a shame that the mods did not possess the wisdom to allow her account to remain while yours was deleted in a public setting for the veiwing pleasure of all who participate on  CM.

I loved Aileen69 and she will be missed.( Domiguy somberly pours the remnants of a "forty" on the curb and sits silently as it slowly heads down the gutter to an awaiting sewer)  I miss you Aileen69,  please come back to us.

This is an old thread.  I'm laughing because my profile now only says blah blah blah.
So if anyone wants to steal that then go right ahead.

Let me add my voice to the rest here. The theft of ones words is not a compliment. It's a theft defined as plagiarism. I would feel no differently if someone came to my house and stole a Persian rug because they like my taste. That's not a compliment to my taste.. it is the theft of that which belongs to me.

can i "steal" this and use it in my profile?

LOL (just kidding)

Persian Rug padded cell ketchup and a straight jacket?

So that is what the teenagers are calling it this year.
