Bush left us with record high gas prices. Obama's tenure saw us return to being a net exporter of petroleum for the first time since 1949. Read a newspaper.

Industry needs to spend the cheap capital it's already sitting on. Definitely moving ahead with ACA will resolve one major uncertainty; they're certainty ready with the cash. Small and midsize businesses will be relieved of a rapidly increasing expense at double digit rates. And workers in their 50s, many holding on to their jobs solely for health insurance reasons, will retire, opening up higher level jobs across the country, as well as new businesses as those not ready to relax will invest in new ventures.

And vince - Obama extended the Bush tax cuts, telling Americans you dont raise taxes in a recession

But, Tom, the cuts did not occur during a recession AND they did not have the effect of benefit to the working class. Where is the trickle down?

Also, here is the 2012 Budget. Where would you cut? http://www.usgovernmentspending.com/united_states_total_spending_pie_chart

Contrary to your... unimaginative, uninformed knee jerk guess there are a number of things that could be done to make America more competitive

Getting rid of Obama, getting Obamas boot off the throat of affordable energy would be the perfect start. Industry needs energy...

There are hundreds of things, literally. Its laughable btw how so many leftists believe that punishing taxes would be an INCENTIVE to bring industry back

I am sure that much higher tax rates will bring those manufacturing jobs just running back too

Since the lower ones haven't, you got anything else?

Yeah, didn't think so.

Whats laughable is the rightists in the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary keep peddling those lies with really stupid jingos.

Obama has no boot on the throat of affordable energy.  Every 12 minutes, there is a looooooooooooooong train that runs thru this town full of Williston oil, headed for refineries.   What energy resource are in short supply?  The natural gases are going down considerably, the coal is abundant.   The cost of gasoline is reflected in higher costs due to fracking and refining the crap out of it and so on, and Keystone would not add one drop of oil to the US, the stuff is bound for China at 100%.

Oil wells are capped here in America, and lots of land under lease is lying fallow.

If a corporation wants the lese majiste and the protections provided for them by this country, then they should be doing their business in this country.  Otherwise, ban or tax them out of existence in this country, because they drain our economy.

Its laughable how teabaggers think that someone who pays only 13% of their income in taxes when middle and lower classes are paying upwards to 35% of theirs thinks that dropping that 13% to 0.80% will make them create jobs at $20 dollars an hour when they get it for $1.00 a day.

It is also funny how the teabaggers avoid the fact that jobs are created historically and good times historically when those same 13%ers are taxed at the 90% rate.

No plans, no facts, no explanations, just incredible asswipe and jingos eminating from the assclowns who have borrowed and spent our blood and treasure and have shipped our economic engines overseas.

Read the papers, look around you, businesses are sitting on huge piles of cash, record profits, yet no jobs are forthcoming, now how does that reality square with the pure asswipe eminating from the rabid right?

Thats a lie

Obama says he wants high gas prices - YouTube

Obama and his leftist cronies are on record all over the place, opposing affordable energy. EXAMPLE - the Keystone Pipeline

Leftists demonized Bush and evil hated "big oil" on the other hand, for working to keep energy costs low by trying to access known reserves

Dont even get started on Obamas lies to the coal producing states and his "all of the above" energy policy lies

I like Ike too... At least, before his words are ripped out of context, and spun by liars until they're practically unrecognizable

Snopes is 100% in agreement with the context, the words and the entire meaning on that eisenhower quote, and quoted it exactly as the OP.  (Jesus, he said it in public, on TV, just like that. word for word)

Do you know that people can see what you post.

Tha dunk, throwing Ike under the bus, thats the teabaggers for ya.

You might want to go back and actually read your post this time. This is from your link. "It wasn't something he uttered, it was something he WROTE"

If he said OR wrote it, it is a true quote.

One essencial ingrediant in manufacturing the truth is a small codrie of dim-wits to believe the lies and mistatements.....

In this case....Ike`s calling them stupid.

The times sure have changed since his Presidency. The loons are now a viable, active part of the Republican party.

Repeat it until you believe it.

Your link is the one that says "it wasn't something he uttered, it was something he wrote".

Thanks for supplying everyone with the evidence that you've lost touch with reality. What color is the sky in Sanitopia today?

The loons are they who are ignorant of the fact that SS is doomed to fail without substantive fixes

The loons are they who demonize those who propose eal solutions

The loons are they who bob their heads in agreement when Joe Biden promises never to touch (save) Social Security

well, of course you will see nothing but dissembling, and derailing and jingos and unsubstantiated or outright lies from the teabaggers.

You dont support by whole cloth a military-industrial complex as the right does without throwing Ike under the bus.  Now, they may re-write recent history without shame, or lie, and craft untutored and unrealistic jingoistic positions, but still to this day, based on the faith of our fathers (democrat or republican) you don't call Ike a socialist, or a communist or a leftist or anything lacking reverence as you tuck him under the bus.  Not even teabaggers are that fucking stupid.

The party would cease to exist at that instant.

Well, until Mitten`s completely disavows his hot abbed running mate`s plans to "privatize"(read end) SS.....we and the rest of America say that yes indeed,Mittryan plans to end the SS program as millions and millions of Americans know it.

Did Mittens really think that this wouldn`t be an issue when he picked Ryan or did he just fuck up really bad......again?
