-=The short version=- You can't make a remote link to a picture unless it ends in jpg, gif or png. Your link was actually to the page, not the picture on that page. To get a picture URL link, right click it, choose "copy image location" or "view image" and copy URL in address bar. Make sure you see that the URL ends with a .jpg, .gif, .png (not all pictures will have that at the end). -=The long version=- http://uproxx.com/webculture/2015/07/donald-trump-butt-plug/ didn't work because that is not a picture file. It is an active web page call. It is active because it is not a flat file ending in http://uproxx.com/webculture/2015/07/donald-trump-butt-plug.html (html). This means the content is probably served up differently to different visitors, usually depending on their cookie history. Because that page doesn't end in ".html" it doesn't really exist until you ask to see it. It is just a bunch of information in a database that is compiled and served when you ask to see that page. Pages like that can be hard to ferret out the picture links because "copy picture location" or "view image" isn't an option. If you have any web tools or FireBug for FireFox you could "inspect element" and see the code for the picture: <IMG width=650 height=360 class="size-full wp-image-1054000" alt=donald-trump-butt-plug src="https://uproxx.files.wordpress.com/2015/07/donald-trump-butt-plug.jpg?w=650&h=360"> In that code you can see a static file location and file designation i.e. jpg, gif, png. And you can remote link to that if their server allows hot linking. See picture below. If this picture stops displaying after a while and all we get is the tiny image crash box, the server we linked to detected our remote calls and banned our IP from making hot links. what can't the all powerful CollarSpace fix this stupid, alloying little problem. The Train Wreck is about the only reason I visit anymore. Surely, our multi-talented RemoteUser could fix this in a New York Minute.

None of which I have access to. If the powers that be ask me to, I'll be more than happy to look things over and see what there is to see. I'm slowly becoming less antisocial in the wake of my recent breakup, so time can be made (once my son is down for the night). Which reminds me that there are other things I've been putting off while trying to put other things in order. Oblique, I know, but thank you for the reminder, ydd.
