http://uproxx.com/webculture/2015/07/donald-trump-butt-plug/ didn't work because that is not a picture file. It is an active web page call. It is active because it is not a flat file ending in http://uproxx.com/webculture/2015/07/donald-trump-butt-plug.html (html). This means the content is probably served up differently to different visitors, usually depending on their cookie history.
Because that page doesn't end in ".html" it doesn't really exist until you ask to see it. It is just a bunch of information in a database that is compiled and served when you ask to see that page. Pages like that can be hard to ferret out the picture links because "copy picture location" or "view image" isn't an option.
If you have any web tools or FireBug for FireFox you could "inspect element" and see the code for the picture:

In that code you can see a static file location and file designation i.e. jpg, gif, png. And you can remote link to that if their server allows hot linking. See picture below. If this picture stops displaying after a while and all we get is the tiny image crash box, the server we linked to detected our remote calls and banned our IP from making hot links.

That makes no sense at all.....the link I posted that said "Donald Trump Butt Plug" was a link to a page...yes....but the picture I tried to post was a JPG file I have on my hard drive.
So....is this thing working yet?
