Status: offline 		The real problem with the lemming-like ignorance of the American proletariat, is that they fail to recognize that almost all commercial specialty construction is subsidized by some or all levels of govt.

This has been going on for generations and is just another chapter in the book of American capitalists...ALWAYS having their hand out. The American capitalist almost never builds anything with his own money. He is always looking to (taught in business schools) use OPM...other people's money.

A loan or govt. is involved in almost all so-called growth as most American capitalists are in fact among the most risk averse of all business people.

You remember how when people said God was angry with N.O. that is why the hurricane hit, or whenever one hits it's because of the gays and such...wonder how God will play into it if they have to cancel, postpone, or move the convention...maybe God is angry because they are having a Moron ...Mormon run for office

If you follow the far lefts convoluted logic to its logical conclusion, the poor had businesses that government built for them that they apparently frittered away

And so they had ought to be taxed at the same rate as the rich for being so wasteful, careless and lazy

Um, no. The right has consistently championed those who would build businesses, whether they succeed or not, on the basis that you can't have the successes if you don't allow the failures as well. Like the salesman's adage that you don't get to the Yes until you experience a lot of Nos first.

The poor generally are too concerned with survival to think about starting businesses. Different mindset.

The right is correct that there is a drive within a business starter that is necessary to build a business. The left is correct that there needs to be solid infrastructures in place to nourish it. To use an analogy, a plant needs both the seed's drive to produce a plant, as well as the soil, nutrients, water, and sunlight to make it grow. Innate drive AND proper environment.

The right has taken Obama's words extolling the environment, as negating the need for the drive itself. Which is odd because they themselves believe in the necessity of a nice environment to grow businesses, but they believe that a business has a right to demand all necessary support.

Gee does Exxon need a taxpayer break???GOP thinks so socialism is fine for the wealthy, Gee get all the government help you can so you do not have to use your own money, but you keep all the profits while the 99% pay for your losses...how is that not what you bitch about??????? Turn that critical rose covered eye on your own party and look at what they have done... But you can't because facts get in the way

A "tax break" isnt government giving people or businesses money, someones been feeding you propaganda

Tax breaks is government allowing people and businesses to keep some of the money they earned

And gee, why does the left feel the need to demonize private businesses, such as Exxon
