ORIGINAL: DesideriScuri No, I don't think the UN will invade the US. In the scenario the Judge put forth, Obama would be handing over the US, so yes, he would stand for it. Do I think Obama would hand the US over? No. I don't know if this judge is an elected official or not. If he is, then it's not up to me to be worried or whether it's acceptable or not. What do you mean "its not up to me to be worried" Its everything to do with you since it is your country. Your claim of it being a scenario is way off the mark, it is more than that, its scaremongering. Unacceptable behaviour from a public official in any country. You are missing my point completely, Politesub. If the judge is an elected official, then it's not up to me because I don't live anywhere near Texas. I can neither vote for or against him. That is why it's not up to me. I can't do a damn thing about it. Had it been an Ohio state elected official and/or an elected official from my district, I would have a duty to call him out and see that he is not elected to any office. As it is, I can not do a damn thing to stop this guy. The judge is putting out a possible scenario. He isn't calling for a civil war if Obama gets re-elected. Hell, the civil war will only happen, according to the judge, if Obama hands over the USA to the UN. He sees Obama as someone who will do that, and that action is what could lead to a civil war. It's not just his getting re-elected. So, yes, it's a potential scenario. And, yes, I agree that it's waaaaay the fuck out there. And no, I don't agree with it. Did you argue against the Republicans pushing Grandma over a cliff ads? You want to talk about scaremongering. I think that ad even went National, unlike this Judge's lip flapping. Is "putting you back in chains" scaremongering? And, believe me, if it were R's doing it, it would just as wrong as if a D did it.
