Does God suffer from a Bono complex?

They're both fictional, so I couldn't say.

There's an old joke about two golfing buddies. They've known each other for years.

One dies about a year before the other.

When the second one dies, the first one meets him at the gates and starts talking about all the free championship courses they can play.

They arrange a golf date and head to the links.

They're at the fourth hole and see a guy with long hair and a beard using a 7 iron from about 250 yds. out on the par 4.

The newest arrival says: "Who does that jackass think he is ... Jesus Christ?"

His buddy says: "He is Jesus Christ. The problem is: He thinks He's Arnold Palmer"

I have another, if you want to see it.

Peace and comfort,

Michael

Bono is not fictional. At the least the one I know who heads up U2.

Actually no I don't. I have an extreme dislike for the overblown pompious atonal catterwailing tosser & his turgid sub Echo & the Bunnymen bandmates.

Hope this clears things up.

I hope you realize that as the recording secretary of the "Echo & The Bunnymen" fan club, I'll have to ask to cease and desist smearing our idols?

Seriously, I always thought their music was so-so and I think you might have a point about Bono. It seems like he gets more and more snooty with every release (and some of 'em ain't that fuckin' good) and even worse, when they manage to get a gold or platinum record.

I thought "The Joshua Tree" was a waste of my time but, I'll take "Sunday, Bloody Sunday" as one of my "mood music" tunes.

Peace and comfort,

Michael

You're right. I missed that word. I'll call the lawyers and tell them they can forget about the lawsuit. LOL

Well then, consider this.

Since those that do believe in a seperate diety called 'god', also tend to believe in a book called 'the bible'. If my years of study taught me anything......that book says that god created man in his image. And whilst the photo to the left isn't the best, I assume you are one of those creatures referred to in that book as 'man'......you don't have enough hair to be an chimp and I've yet to see a manatee type.

There ya go buck-ooo!

I LOVE Echo and the Bunnymen, always have. Saw them in concert one gorgeous time. They were always my favorite along with the Ramones. I have taken eternal crap from my 3 sons for loving a band called Echo and the Bunnymen, they think the name is hysterical and never took to the music.

Yanno what I find sad? Is that I didn't get into these bands (and others) until after their heydays.

Lemme guess-you were either a classic rock or a metal gal?

And don't feel so bad. I missed out on the LA punk explosion because I was chasing the Dead round the country.

Deadheads are pretty nice folks, generally quite open minded, but circa 82 they weren't about hearing Black Flag and X blasting in the parking lot.
I'm not exactly his biggest fan but give Cobaine credit for introducing it to the maminstream...
