Bambi, when I rule the world, I want you as my Chief Consultant on All Things.

Fuck that, I want him now!

BambiBoi -> RE: Cutting? (8/26/2012 1:28:43 PM)

I'm putting that on my resume. "Chief Consultant on All Things, Two Worlds."

Also, I spelled "pith" wrongly.

As your future employer, and self-appointed president of your fan club (that's going on my resume), we forgive you for the spelling error.

And now I will leave this thread so as not to derail it further.

BambiBoi -> RE: Cutting? (8/26/2012 1:38:21 PM)

I think this thread was over before I started. Another case of a first post that has yet to be revisited by its owner where a consensus was instantly reached: Don't be stupid and hack someone's body up because you think blood is sexy. Learn from people who do this sort of thing safely all the time.

But it is kind of fancy that my fan club is based out of the UK. I'm big across the pond.

Everyone knows all the coolest trends start in England.

That's a problem on here sometimes. The topics which are interesting in theory don't provoke much discussion because there's a quick sensible answer - like 'go and learn in person'. Whereas some topics get raked over again and again with very little new information because they are more subjective.

Master is experienced in cutting but won't yet cut me. He wants to know and understand my body first.

For some reason, I've got hope for this one. Maybe he's just talking with Dark Steven on the other side about where to get the good instruction that was offered. I'd be rather glad if that happened, even if the OP didn't return to the thread.

And the ones with knowledge of edge play often decline to share it online because they don't know what kind of idiot their audience might be.

Which is why the idiots use trial and error, just like people without local access.

Each to their own. [:D]

ETA: I should probably clarify that I'm in no way suggesting that online learning is adequate.

If that was deliberate, it could be called pith play.

Aww shucks. I'm flattered. I was going to wait until I broke 1,000 posts to ask for a nick.

LadyPact -> RE: Cutting? (9/3/2012 12:38:02 AM)

kalik, go get My good cutting thread. Please and thank you.

ARIES83 -> RE: Cutting? (9/3/2012 8:54:51 AM)

Hmm I think everyone on here knows I'm
not in to the "kinkier" stuff but I do have a
fair bit of experience with cuts and
impromptu treatment, I've actually had a
Nasty injury that I had to treat
myself, being a pretty well equipt hiker, I
was prepared with veterinary blood clotter,
sutures, heaps of first aid stuff, which is
something i'd suggest if you are going to do
this type of thing...

Be prepared for the worst and umm if
there does turn out to be a problem it helps
if you have first aid experience, if you get a
bad bleeding situation I'm going to advocate
compression first, if that's not enough use
blood clotter (warning, it's nasty stuff) and
of course if youve got a bad bleeding
situation get to the hosptial.
I'm not going to get into sutures because
theres just to much experience needed to
do a good job (got the scar to prove it)

Personally I'd test anything like that out on
myself first before inflicting it on a sub.

Not that I'm even suggesting anyone does this
haha.

Was that the ceremonial/celebratory one?

While I'm looking for that, here's this: Knife Play

I think this is the one you want: A cutting, from a top's point of view

CDCumSlut -> RE: Cutting? (9/19/2012 5:16:01 PM)

The first thing I can suggest is that you get yourself a re-useable scalpel handle, and a 100 count of disposable blades. Why should you NOT be using what they use in surgery?

Secondly, keep the skin TAUGHT when doing cuts. If you do not, the blade will 'catch' and cause uneven cutting, if at all.

Thirdly, REMEMBER STERILITY ALWAYS!

Fourthly, don't forget to learn anatomy, blood vessel path ways, etc. Also, make sure the cuts are not visible, and are not along an area where a bra will cause constant discomfort.
