ORIGINAL: SilverWulf <fast reply> Clear communication in a text based forum such as this is vital. I have never, and probably will never, flame someone for poor spelling or grammar. If I cannot understand a post, I skip it. An ocassional spelling error that does not detract from the message is no big deal. (I misspell things too) A post that is written so poorly that it takes effort to decipher what the person is trying to say is not worth my time. If someone cannot communicate clearly, they are simply ignored. I see it more as laziness than ignorance. There are numerous tools available to correct spelling and grammar that are free and easy to use. Precisely! Well, I do have a tendency to correct spelling, but I try really hard to curb it. Really. I do. Feastie, theres nothing wrong with occasionally letting someone know they mispell something. I do it as well, if its a friend and they just happen to mispell a word, because I know they would want to *know* its incorrect. What I feel is wrong is when someone is just a bad speller for whatever reason, and people ridicule them for lack of intelligence. It just gets on my last nerve. As far as spell check...I never use it, but wouldnt it screw up all the acronyms??
