I don't know what everyone else is talking about, but I thought we were discussing the official party platform. The one adopted yesterday (http://www.gop.com/2012-republican-platform_home/) says, in relevant part:

"Current laws on all forms of pornography and obscenity need to be vigorously enforced."

Various media articles have interpreted this to mean that the Republicans want mainstream pornography to be rendered illegal by state obscenity laws.
