Well he did, but it sure as hell didnt happen often, mixed in with his other bullshit, I thought he was full of hot air and little resposibility..Ann Romney talked about Love, Christie talked about not love but respect as being important. Reliability and responsibility is in short supply.
Ann came out looking better than any of them....

I thought it significant that in Chris Christie's so-called keynote speech, he didn't mention Romney once.

So the central theme of this convention is not Romney, or his suitability to be President?

In the interest of fairness, he isn't the nominee yet. It's a foregone conclusion but until he is officially nominated, all the speeches should be about the party and what they wish to do, not individuals.

He was nominated by the role call, wasn't he? He has yet to accept the nomination. The suspense is heavy.

Tis very true but they have to obey protocol. I know it's wierd and his nomination is a forgone conclusion but I was just pointing out why the keynote didn't mention Romney.

I then turned off the set and put on a good Bruce Willis movie, "Red". I had ceased to worry about the state of things.

55 Days at Peking was on. Good flick[:D]

PMSNBC refused to air the speech of any minority at this convention. What are they afraid of ?

Rage? Are you sure you haven't confused Maddow with Hannity or O'Reilley?

Even though Maddow does look like a man, yeah I'm sure it's Maddow that's full of rage.

O'Reilly is a bloviating blowhard who got his start in Tabloid TV, and I don't know how angry Hannity is, I stopped listening to him when he said he liked Bob Beckell, and considers him a friend.

I'm not in love with Christie getting the keynote address. Usually, the keynote speaker is the party's "heir apparent". While I like Governor Christie and think he's a good guy. He's done some good (and some bad) things for New Jersey but POTUS? I don't know about that. I guess it depends on who his running mate is because; in case you've never seen Governor Christie, he's just a few cheeseburgers and a Philadelphia cheese steak away from a major heart attack.

Peace and comfort,

Michael

Not at all true. 2008 was Giuliani and after his loss in the primaries no longer considered future POTUS potential, and 2004 was Zel Miller, not even a Republican. 2000 did have McCain, but it was a split keynote with Colin Powell, far from heir apparent.

I think if they were going to pick Christie they shouldnt have tied his hands though. It was way too hands off. I would have gone with Ayotte or Haley. One of those two will become the first woman VP in 2021.

Your problems with lesbians aside how do you get rage from Rachel Maddows show or other appearances? She is uniformly polite and smiling. Even when she is proving that some right wing scumbag is lying.

WARNING: Massive hijack

I have always been amazed when I contrast the brilliance of the engineering behind television, and the crap that is broadcast over it. And right now, the engineering is taken for granted and the content is where all the money and action is.

End hijack

Is this declaration on technology and your subsequent hijack/tribute to the DVR and simiar technologies what Tom Cruise was getting at with his nut-less monkey remarks to Bill Hader in Tropical Thunder?

Excuse the expression but FAT CHANCE of that happening... Fat fuck will go all Mamma Cass Elliot 'n' shit choking to death on a giant hogie before that ever happens. But it's fitting that a Party in utter decay is using a guy who trashed the nominee a week or so before when asked about his chances.
Any estimate on what life vests are selling for on the RNC Ship Titanic are currently going for?
