Hey psycho, do you have an official kilt fluffer booked for the wedding yet?

WomanlyWiles -> RE: A gif thread to stop Psycho being banned... (9/6/2012 2:45:59 AM)

Let's not encourage Psycho to be even more of an attention whore than he already is.

pyschosubmission -> RE: A gif thread to stop Psycho being banned... (9/6/2012 3:18:59 AM)

The credit goes to Cryptic, our Creative Director!

nephandi -> RE: A gif thread to stop Psycho being banned... (9/6/2012 8:09:40 AM)

Greetings

I would also like to add that some forums ban moving images as they can make people with Epilepsy have a seizure. I do not have epilepsy but I do have a problem with getting nausea and the like form that type of files for they move so quickly and repeat the movement again, and again and again. A thread with such images will be unsafe and unreadable for a pretty large amount of people.

I wish you all well

holy shit then if thats the case you better get off the net completely since all web pages move a lot when they come in after clicking on them not to mention a couple of the gif smilees above!

Maybe we should have the whole internet banned so you dont have to worry about a seizure ya think?

Thanks for the laugh

GreedyTop -> RE: A gif thread to stop Psycho being banned... (9/6/2012 9:47:52 AM)

WHat web pages are you visiting, ro?

I load yahoo... no gif type movements.

I load gmail or google ... no gif type movements.

in fact, aside from the side banner on the CM side, I don't think any of the pages I visit have gif type movements embedded in them

Is there movement? sometimes, yes, but it certainly doesn't fit the description of giffy stuff, as nephandi described possible triggers to be.

yanno, as she said:

So what she is REALLY saying is that she sits there and stares at it?

Note the little blue guy on the heading.

try nearly any other site than google and yahoo LOL

EBAY, Huffington post they are everywhere and you picked out a couple exceptions to the rule.

So then let me put it like this:

name all these websites by citing their TOS that banned gifs images specifically to cater to someone who might have a seizure.

I play on several playgrounds and have never heard something so ridiculous.

I am still laughing.

yourdarkdesire -> RE: A gif thread to stop Psycho being banned... (9/6/2012 10:22:53 AM)

If viewing a simple gif can cause an epileptic seizure, then someone needs to be under better control. Video games, yes. A gif? Not likely.

Real0ne -> RE: A gif thread to stop Psycho being banned... (9/6/2012 10:29:23 AM)

only a damn fool would be on the net at all if gifs triggers a seizure.

needlesandpins -> RE: A gif thread to stop Psycho being banned... (9/6/2012 10:30:17 AM)

my son's friend suffers from epilepsy and has never had an attack through using the net. i'd think that if someone were that sensitive they wouldn't use the net at all. none of the site i have ever used have banned gifs. i certainly don't on my site.

Thank you, thank you, nephandi, for bringing this up. My nervous system is VERY sensitive, especially to visual stimuli, and those moving files create much pain in my brain and spine, and overwhelm me. For survival's sake, I must make them disappear as soon as possible. The only other option I have is to quickly move off of that person's post/avatar, so I end up missing what they write.

well I think the mods were unhappy because it slowed down their editing puters, but I explained in a previous post the most likely causes and changing setup most likely will cure it. Shit my browser is running 1.6gig ram, adobe flv player is nearly 2gig ram total memory usage is about 7.1gig and I have 3 browsers and over 300 pages open and 4 pages have between 400 and 700 gifs in each most of which are moving type and in addition 20+ programs are active with no objectionable slowdown and I am the type that can bring a cray to its knees. It sort of goes without saying that puter setup is everything, and a laptop is not a computer. So I dont even count those. LOL

Thank you; we're still not allowing them at this time.

Wow that sucks!

Not to be able to watch movies or drive or anything.

Does it bother you to turn your head fast too?

From your post I am presuming that it does and I would be curious how you deal with it?

So would you mind sharing the real reason with us?

ModTwentyOne -> RE: A gif thread to stop Psycho being banned... (9/6/2012 11:17:36 AM)

I'm using a laptop, according to you that's not a real computer.
