needlesandpins -> your sexual influence? (9/1/2012 2:24:53 PM)

generally when on our breaks at work chat consists regularly the topic of sex even though we are mostly females. one topic recently was about how the things we like may have been triggered by what we have seen. one friend of mine has rape fantacies, as do i, but also likes her sex quite violent. not slapping, but punching. she mentioned a couple of films, which i can't remember, that had scenes in that really triggered reactions in her when she was a teen. now i think i am remembering this correctly; there is a scene in the film 9 1/2 weeks where the guy shoves a woman against a pillar while it's raining and basically just takes what he wants. i can't comment on the clip as i don't recall ever seeing it, but for my friend it is something that has always stuck with her as a 'that's what i want' clip.

at the time i couldn't think of anything for myself. and also remember having very mixed feelings about sex in general. however, since then i have watched a film from the 80's that reminded me of the conversation. the film itself is quite corny i guess, but in the 80's was actually quite good for a 14/15yr old girl. there was alot for me to like in it, particularly the lead actor chris sarandon. i knew i wasn't bothered about boys my own age, but was still a virgin with very little insight about myself. however, this clip....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mgr-1uljRUQ&feature=fvwrel

really made an impression on me. he's the older, dangerous guy (forgetting about the vampire bit for me) with a very young inocent girl. the nervousness in her as she looks at him is exactly what got me going. him being so 'i want you, i'm going to have you now' was also a huge part of it. that clip is my 'i want that' clip.

so my question is; what is your 'i want that' moment? it doesn't have to be a film, it can be a book or real life....whatever

I'm not sure it's an influence because this is something I only saw fairly recently, but I love the staircase sex scene in 'A History of Violence'.

This clip doesn't do it justice because you need a few seconds before to see them getting into it. Angry sex is hot.
Later in the film they show she has bruises from it too, which is a nice touch.

When I was a kid I used to read a LOT of fantasy books, and as a total tomboy I was liked those kind of knight-type characters that were always kneeling before their king or going to the end of the earth to please their true love. Also there were always people getting captured and tied up and maybe beaten or whatever. When I started puberty those story elements started to give me a... funny sort of feeling, you know, so I think that stuff influenced my sexuality a lot.

I want to be so hot for someone and him so hot for me we're going through the house kissing and bumping into walls and tearing off clothing and then he picks me up and puts me on a counter or against the wall and pounds me into sexual bliss.

Isn't that Prince Humperdink?

Missokyst -> RE: your sexual influence? (9/1/2012 5:47:35 PM)

I think it is Prince Humperdink..
I especially love this scene from The Princess Bride

The calm detachment with which he watched Westley experiencing torture...mmmmm hot.

Lucifyre -> RE: your sexual influence? (9/1/2012 6:20:54 PM)

Hmm wow...I really don't know what my influences would be.
I do appreciate a hot D/s type movie scene, but none of them really pointed me in the direction I went with my sexual maturity.
Before Mr I had a not so nice life with plenty of examples of sometimes some pretty scary crap that I went through, but the only influence those had were negative and took plenty of effort to get over rather than head toward.
Mr and I learned about our D/s interests together though, so I suppose in all fairness He is my strongest sexual influence, and I guess I would be His as well in the realm of BDSM.
We are still constantly being influenced (and learning) no matter how many years we have behind us though too. The more I expose myself (not flashing you perverts) to other people's experiences...as in things I hadn't thought to do on my own, or heard of before, the more my D/s and sexuality is influenced and my interests expanded.

Missokyst -> RE: your sexual influence? (9/1/2012 6:43:58 PM)

I have to echo in here. My influences were real life experiences; from early on I learned things most won't until much later. And if they are lucky they never will. Sexually my perversions stem from violence, mentally from survival, and emotionally from inattention.
If I had to point to any sort of movie it would have to be from movies like early James Bond, who always just took what he wanted.

Toppingfrmbottom -> RE: your sexual influence? (9/1/2012 7:12:53 PM)

I do know that I am into rape and incest fantasies because I was molested most my early childhood I do believe. I love a good rape scene in a movie or a book because it just really gets my motor roaring. I also believe I am into bdsm because of my sexual molestation, and really when watching porn or having sex regular plain old stick dick in and go at it doesn't excite me at all, there needs to be some spankings or some floggings or something kinky to keep my interest.

littlewonder -> RE: your sexual influence? (9/1/2012 7:14:57 PM)

There was never any movie or song or anything else that ever influenced me sexually. I never even ever really thought about sex much when I was younger. When I lost my virginity at 15 to my childhood sweetheart and future husband, he tied me to a tree in the woods and it was fun. I thought that was normal though and so all my partners have always been kinky and dominant in some way or another. When people talk about "vanilla" sex, I can't really say I understand it. So I guess my "influence" was my husband.

Shininglight23 -> RE: your sexual influence? (9/1/2012 7:29:57 PM)

In reference to a movie or a book... I don't have one that pointed me in this direction.

I was a virgin until I was 19, and my first partner was a Dominant man. I was choked, flogged, and did wax play before even having sex. I suppose the rough..aggressive... have to have you now.. .the way I want you.. seemed like a natural progression for me.

I was in a relationship with someone who was not Dominant.. and he wanted to "make love"...(which has it's place... I guess) but I wasn't interested, and found it un-fullfilling. I would say that the first person I was with was my biggest influence.

(unfortunately) I have been known to compare some sexual experiences I had.. to the time I spent with him, and it just doesn't measure up.

I would link something that I really like, but it's straight up porn.. so I won't. [:D]

ResidentSadist -> RE: your sexual influence? (9/1/2012 7:30:25 PM)

Marquis de Sade + James Bond + Robert Heinlein = ResidentSadist

I was 13 years old when I riffled through my parent's library (they were alt lifestyle). I read the Marquis de Sade's Justine, Juliette, 120 Days of Sodom, Letters From Prison and etc. I identified with de Sade's kink and amoral rebellious philosophies.

When I first read Heinlein's books I ate them up. I was already poly in spirit, I had a poly heart. Stranger in a Strange Land only put into words things I was already feeling and doing.

Being young and impressionable, I was also affected by movies and TV's gentleman imagery with the likes of Sean Connery as James Bond and Patrick Macnee as john Steed.

Those were my "I want it" influences. I wanted to be a smooth, sociable and seductive gentleman with no moral limits about his sadistic kinky desires that lead a fulfilled emotional poly life. No single thing, no one scene or chapter from a book made me wish for a type of sexual experience. It was a collection of things that made me want a lifestyle that accommodated my sexual appetites and emotional needs.

[edit for clarity and to add]

Well there was that one time in band camp . . . there was a movie about a blind sculptor and he took a girl captive against her will. . . and beat her . . . and she ended up liking it eventually. Very campy but sexy. I wanted that. Blind Beast

They spliced the ending on after the sex scene. Harrison Ford was soooo hot.

The Great Santini (tried to find a clip) -

Bull (Robert Duvall) has just shown Peg (Blythe Danner) the ante-bellum mansion he has rented for their stay in Beaufort, SC. She is going from room to room gawking, amazed. Finally she looks at him and he says, "All for you, Petunia". The pure adoration in his eyes, O.M.G.

ETA: Oops, misread! These were not formative for me.

I have ALWAYS wanted power exchange in the equation and to be seen. It took me a very, very long time to recognize it. I don't know how I came to the first desire, but I do the second.

Snidely Whiplash was great!!! I also enjoyed all those old detective magazines with the semi nude girls tied up or crying. I still have a pretty decent collection of those under my bed.
