Greetings

Your journal is for anything you want to write, some use it to add to their profile or give messages to those that might decide to contact them, others might use it to write poetry, others use it as a blog, you can put anything in it as long as it do not violate site polity.

Admirers are just those who have bookmarked your profile, you do not need to reply or do anything.

Messages are PMs like on any site. I try to reply to all I get though I can be a bit slow about it. I generally just structure replies like I would any letter. Rude comments and those who just write I want to do X with X part of your body I often just ignore.

Oh and welcome to Collarme I hope you will like it here.

I wish you well

For the journal, maybe reducing about the music bit? Because reading the entries, it made no sense to me and you come accross as somehow a bit errr edgy, over energetic girl. I dont know if that's you, but that was how i saw you from your journal.

It's good for getting people to know yourself, but it's also not a *personal diary*, so to speak.

Oh, I don't know. I used the journal entry only once - when I was sitting on my floor typing onto my laptop in a moment of introspection. Very personal-diary like. The results of that entry were messages from an entirely different class of people. Men who I had never heard from before responded to that entry in a more meaningful, respectful, and connecting way than almost everyone who responded to my ad as it was. It was a long, personal tale, and it changed my experience on CM.

Aaaah, thank you so much, everyone! This has all been immensely helpful in getting a good feel for this site! I can't thank you all enough, truly. =D
I'm rather liking it here, and all these positive responses have definitely been a good part of that. =) Thank you, everyone!

It's good for getting people to know yourself, but it's also not a *personal diary*, so to speak. It's advertisement for putting up little pieces of your personality to enlighten your journal. Or to tease the curiosity of others, maybe. I dont use the journal that much, because i have no idea what to put in it, so i just dont. Use it as how you would like people to see you and how you would like them to get to know you better maybe, if you feel you *have* to use it.

For the messages....if i'm interested, i answer. If not, i just reply, politely, our interests do not match, thank you or something like that. No need to write a novel for a refusal response and waste your and other people's time.

as for admirers....i have noooo idea

I personally use the journal to convey something about me. It might be a quote, story, poem. I also use mine to convey messages to others. There's no cookie cutter way to do life here in CM land, and your profile will most likely "evolve" as you learn what you like and don't like. Also, I don't personally take much stock in "admirers". I'd rather they find me on the boards and get to know me. Welcome!

The journal is a bit tricky for me. Once, as i was having a bad week, i used the journal to enter a very agressive post which was in no way representing me, only anger and well.... i took it off.

i dont do public introspection, cause my mind changes all the time. My inner me doesnt and that's what i want people to know foremost about me. That's why i have to use the journal carefully as to not portray myself in a way which is not me

I dont believe people wants to know about random thoughts of a stranger, cause i dont think that tells a lot about who they are, only the mood they were in in a particular time, in regards of contexts etc. That comes into conversation and getting to know the people if they are interested in your inner you.

Am i making any sense? lol
