Peace Corps placements for married couples must have jobs for both. Highest on the list of desired couples.... Male Doctor, female nurse. Just saying that that is the way the "world" works. Female Doc with a mariied male nurse? I'm sure a fit could be found. Funny thing about Peace Corps, you soon learn what is a luxury and what is not. I had to take my shower very late, In the morning, the reservior above me in altitude - on the mountainside - was tapped out. I could get only a trickle of water at times other than night. Coleman stove, NO refrigeration. (Tropics.) Oh, and when the gas cannister ran out, had to carry it down moutain side - and when filled and a bazillion times heavier - had to carry it back up mountainside. A/C ? Hahahaha - tourist hotels and the computer office where I worked. So, how did married couples do? VERY well, thank you. (I was not half of one of those.) I'm SURE that such couples thought long and hard about the OPost before volunteering.
