WHERE THERE WAS AN ICE MACHINE!! I was in heaven. Not that I couldn't drink room temp coke with the rest of the family... o.O...but wow, it was like a little bit of home. (And WTF?? My family there has TWO refrigerators and a chest freezer, whqts the deal with no cold drinks?)

Himself does not hunt. He does shoot, it is an historian war thingie thing he does. Hunt for food is not his thing, that would have to be me. Not an issue, I would kill for food in a second. Me, hungry with a rifle? Oh hell yeah. Just give me a sec to forage for the herbs and the garlic. To LadyH: Anyone who can find ice in Rome is my personal hero !!

The Man's too soft hearted to hunt. I think he shot a squirrel when young and laid down his weapons then and there. I could probably figure out how to build a snare for rabbits but I'm not cleaning the meat. Somebody else gets to field dress it, skin it, gut it and prepare it as though it came out of a Styrofoam tray in the grocery store. Otherwise, we starve.
