Jayswa87 -> Scam? (9/4/2012 7:03:50 PM)

I'm kind of new to the scene. I have found (i think) a potential match (a female slave). We have been communicating through email. She has a guardian and is located in a town not too far away. She told me I had to go through her Guardian (a man, call him C) to work out the details and be screened and such. "C" told me there are costs to taking this woman into my care, around $700, he said for her training and intensive care. Should I be worried this is a scam? I am pretty much already. I've asked to meet them in person, waiting on a reply.

Baroana -> RE: Scam? (9/4/2012 7:06:22 PM)

Yes.

RedMagic1 -> RE: Scam? (9/4/2012 7:08:15 PM)

It's bullshit. Or the guy's a law enforcement officer in a human trafficking division. I'd rather just lose the $700, if I had to choose.

Jayswa87 -> RE: Scam? (9/4/2012 7:10:47 PM)

Okay yeah that's what I thought. I've just never heard of anything like this. I haven't given anything yet (i'm not that dumb) and I won't

LadyPact -> RE: Scam? (9/4/2012 8:32:53 PM)

Dude...... Really? What made you think that paying transfer expenses was going to entitle you to the ownership of a human being?

It may benefit you greatly to read about common scams on the internet.

LadyHibiscus -> RE: Scam? (9/4/2012 8:35:08 PM)

Or just learning some common sense.

Jayswa87 -> RE: Scam? (9/4/2012 8:42:18 PM)

I'm new. I apologize for being slightly ignorant, just didn't know if this was a common or accepted thing in the community. It stank of scam from the first time they mentioned $

Think like this. Everything about dating is exactly the same. Everything about when to kiss her is exactly the same. Except instead of "Baby" she likes to say "Sir," and she also likes to say "Ouch."

What I'm saying isn't quite true, and there are some relationships that are very different from it. But where you're at right now, just do this, and you'll be fine.

DarkSteven -> RE: Scam? (9/4/2012 9:12:04 PM)

1. I have actually been a protector to a couple of subs. I helped them determine which men to follow up with. I would never expect anyone to pay for that.

2. Payment for training is ridiculous. A Dom will train his sub his way.

3. To be very blunt, your profile will not attract any legitimate subs/slaves. It sounds hyperactive, and oriented toward kink while not mentioning anything of the mental aspects.

JanahX -> RE: Scam? (9/4/2012 9:23:57 PM)

I think you should send me the 700.00. I will spend it WISELY. I FUCKING PROMISE.

It's more of a love/hate thing. [;)]

OP, good on you for asking questions. I remember being butchered alive on the very first BDSM oriented forum I joined (not CM). You're new. Don't worry about it. But all those above are correct. It is a scam.

It's perfectly reasonable. Don't listen to RedMagic with all that cheesy dating advice.

I highly suggest you procure an agent to represent you for this transaction, however, as we're professionals. My retainer fee is $4,000.00, plus I get first bids dibs on her mouth.

ETA dibs, not bids.

I'd be looking for a pair of shoes. Now, that's spending it wisely.

KYsissy -> RE: Scam? (9/5/2012 12:52:55 PM)

I second myotherself getting it! PARTY!

I would say yes to a meet and tell them that the expenses I incur for the meet would be taken out of the 700. I will hit a hotel and get a good restaurant and use the 700 on myself quite fast and see what they say. I might even go over the 700 and then give them a bill and see if they pay it...lol.

DesFIP -> RE: Scam? (9/5/2012 8:07:13 PM)

Yes it's a scam. Your expenses should be your travel costs to go there, and the cost of two cups of coffee. But don't expect her to actually show up and drink one.

But... but why would a Nigerian prince lie to me? A prince, Lady Pact... a PRINCE.

More responsive to Jayswa: You're right to trust your instincts that the mention of money signifies a scam or worse. It's unheard of to charge money for the use or ownership of a submissive. (There may be some exceptions like roleplay and very select humiliation fantasies, but stay away from anything that looks like prostitution. ESPECIALLY DOUBLY when its too easy or too good to be true.

There is a fairly common practice where novice young female submissives have a mentor or guardian who help make sure the little horn dogs don't run off with the first man with handcuffs and a flashy red car. (In reality, this is not limited to novices, females, submissives, or horn-dogginess). I bring this up because some people borrow the judgment and experience of others to help choose their playmates. When that is the case, be wary but respectful.

(At the moment, I did not intend to open the door to discuss the pros and cons of this practice, but if raised I will call.)

Kana -> RE: Scam? (9/6/2012 6:11:22 AM)

It'll cost $700 to hear my response
