I thought that i was a bit of an anomaly. Now i dont feel quite so badly.

OP try different place like thighs. He could also try pinching. i hate pinching but it sure causes bruising for me.

I don't bruise easily either. And welts only last a short time. I do scar pretty easily, though, and they don't tend to be nice.
Try playing with dense things, denser woods, metal canes, dense rubber toys. they'll direct more force inward, rather than absorbing it themselves.
