Into delaying the release of Zero Dark Thirty due to the fear of inciting Muslim's across the world?

We know the official position from State and the White House about films that inflame Muslim sensibilities, will they put pressure on Sony to stop the release of the film depicting American special forces who shot an unarmed Osama Bin Ladin in cold blood?

Or are they naive enough to think that the movie doesn't mention Mohammad, so it will be ok to release?

Naaa... He's just looking for another excuse to butthurt Obama, as if he could.

Poor Osama. So misunderstood.

Murder a few thousand people and everybody's on your case.

Did you get your "Support Al Qaeda" lapel pin yet?

That's Hollywood's story of how the President singlehandedly jumped the wall, climbed the stairs, and strangled bin Laden with his bare hands, right?

Nope. The election will take higher priority. If there is a possible problem, we can always tell the Egyptian government to keep it off the news...

So it seems... Such as that annoying little reality called the First Amendment - as in Washington can't tell Sony not to speak their piece... Or the annoying little fact that Sony is a foreign corporation, and Japan might have something to say about trying to strong-arm them... Life's a bitch, especially when one is Foxed in the head.

On the contrary, I've said many times that Obama's fighting the war the way we should have from the beginning... I guess you're too blinded to actually read my posts.

Now care to answer the question posted in the OP, Troll?

Sony is the distributor, the executive producers, producers, and director are American. Now since it's their film, should the administration pressure them to withhold the release, and break their contract with Sony?

No way. They've taken some heat from a bunch of lies about them sympathizing with the radical rioters. If there was to be a similar story with truth behind it, it would hurt his reelection chances.

Not to mention that OBL's killing is a political point for Obama. He'd love to have the movie out prior to Nov 4.

I sometimes wonder if people who embelish their so-called "talking points" with grandiose lies realize how they actually read.

I'm not really sure... By they're statements about the other film, you would think they would jump on this toot sweet. But I honestly believe the Obama campaign is really counting on this film giving him a bump before the election.

Do I think they should put pressure on anyone? No. But they already set the precedence.
