I wonder what ever happened to owning your own mistakes instead of constantly trying to blame the other guy. Maybe I should rethink my vote this time.

I thought you could read and comprehend better than you do.   Nevertheless, we still await the republicans owning the debt and the sad state of the economy in the US and world.  I don't know why they dont own their mistakes instead of blaming everybody else.

And if you dont know, and I dont know, is there anyone who knows?

Yeah Im thinking that the mindset completely missed the "I am happy to take responsibility for the fact that we didn't get it done", and "As you remind me, my biggest failure so far is we haven't gotten comprehensive immigration reform done, so we're going to be continuing to work on that,"
bit of the conversation.

You have come to the tip of the matter, now let's bring it to a head and ask:

What's a President to do with a GOP legislature that does everything to oppose -him- rather than doing their job for the American people? How else do you explain the GOP filibuster abuses of the past 4 years?

The GOP has adopted a "It is not enough that I win, but YOU MUST LOSE." attitude and it is hurting this country.

I read the article and you commented in a way that did not agree with the article, and I commented on your comment.  And as Lucy has pointed out you cannot read and comprehend.

It was my understanding that is how discussion boards work.  I haven't actually had any much in the way of interaction with you, and haven't ran around implying shit about you whatsoever.  I said what I said, no implication, it is in view of the quotes factually extrapolated from the article. 

So, poor put upon you because I disagreed with you maybe 4 or 5 times in 8 years.  Go take your 47% victim mentality over to the Willard camp.   Don't imply that I constantly denigrate you, it ain't either true or gonna get you a goddamn bit of sympathy.

Is it true that for the first two YEARS, Obama and his merry Democrat machine OWNED the White house, the Senate and Congress? Yet he couldn't get anything passed except a flawed, massive healthcare bill and managed to bankrupt us?

Also, remember this: Congressional approval at all-time low of 9%, according to new CBS News/New York Times poll

The President has had to deal with a Congress judged by America to be the most incompetent since they started keeping track. For the President to point that out is completely valid.

The President cannot pass legislation that never reaches his desk. This is why he resorted to deferred action.

The Republicans filibustered the Dream Act, which passed the house and Senate with majority votes, but the Senate with its arcane rules killed it because it lacked a super majority.

The Senate is anti-democratic enough without the filibuster which requires 60 votes to pass legislation. 51 votes should be enough.

The number of Republican filibusters during the 2008-12 time period has been eye-popping.

If you are planning to vote Republican - you need to look at this and realize who is holding our country back - it is NOT Barack Obama.

It is your own party - Republicans waging a war on America through hate, deception, and obstructionism.

It is real, it is true, it is now, it is the reality of the GOP today.

A vote for the Republicans is a vote AGAINST America.
