Really Rich, you have been stating about the attack in Libya "For some time" Silly me for thinking it was a recent event.

Maybe try reading post #6 again, Polite? It was quite a bit broader than you seem to be seeing, and my President chose to take personal ownership on Lybia a good while back.

Oh not this shit again? When did he lie through his teeth as we know who...that there were WMD's in Lybia that we must go to war to find and remove ? Ownership my ass.

...that there were WMD's in Iraq.

There were. Iraq also had a sizable Air Force used to deploy them. At the start of the invasion Iraq's Air Force was granted safe passage into Iran and Irag's entire Air Force, anything that could fly, carried the WMDs and every working plane into Iran. When we invaded there was no Air Force to destroy and no WMDs. They were both in Iran where they are today.

What, you think the Kurds were killed by gas made of kool aid before the war? They were gas attacks by the Iraq Air Force on entire towns, they were WMDs used on his own people. This is documented. So when we found none (left) when we invaded, that meant they were moved via planes and certainly other measures, but certainly Iraq used WMDs on their own people for years before we attacked. The issue was now that Iraq was getting rockets and could deliver them out of country and that was the issue, not that there were WMDs in Iraq but that there were WMDs in Iraq that could be used to attack via SCUD missles with longer range, enough to attack Israel and even parts of Europe given time.

We are here again with Iran and nuclear WMDs and their impressive new missle delivery systems and what will Obama do? So, Bush did his job and now Obama must do his.

Jeeze.

How exactly did Bush "do his job" ?
Even granting your purely speculative theory of the WMD"s existence, was not the failure to stop this exodus to Iran a major failure ?
Hell the wmd were the reason for our invasion, how could we fail to a) ascertain where they were ,and b) destroy the Iraqi capacity to move them .

That Congressional okey-dokey on Iraq is still sand in the vagina for so many, isn't it, MrRodgers?

The remote control exception to only Congress having the power to declare war. Can we get you on record giving it your support, before the precedent might go to a Republican?

So we sent more than
150,000 troops to pick up enough mustard gas to ruin a Kurdish soccer game out in the boonies?
That's whatchya want to go with.
I better bail off this thread before I hurt myself laughing.
Hey... Mission Unaccomplished.

Bullshit. Iraq had effectively no air craft, about 90 flyable aircraft in 2003. the fly to iran stuff was the first gulf war. In 2003 they buried and otherwise tried to hide their working aircraft. We were set up to shoot down any that tried to fly to Iran.

The gas attacks against the Kurds were in the late 80's. The WMD's used were destroyed after the first Gulf War. No WMD's or evidence of their manufacture was found after the second invasion.

Really.........It was pretty clear from what I read.....Obamas chickens comming home to roost in libya. As I said, thats just a recent event so your claim to have been speaking about it "for some time" doesnt hold up.

Yes, that chicken coming home to roost is recent, but President Obama making that particular chicken his very own happened a while back.

Post #6 also included this bit, which you quoted into post #7, but seem unaware of, in reference to things I've been on about for a while.

quote:

President Obama has all the advantages of incumbency, plus a mainstream media that gives him tongue baths. He also has the elephant in the room, which will likely show up in October (surprise!). I believe Mitt Romney to be a talented, smart, and very decent man, who has done well with every job he's ever taken on, but he cannot compete with the President on charisma.
