BitaTruble -> Still undecided? (9/25/2012 1:42:56 PM)

Here in the US, we're not that far away from Election day.

My head, heart and gut are all in sync with my choice and I was just curious as to who's not decided and what are you hoping to find out before making your decision?

DomKen -> RE: Still undecided? (9/25/2012 3:06:41 PM)

I doubt any regular reader of P&R has not made up their mind. From what the polls say the undecideds are the classic low information population. They haven't been paying much attention to politics until this last month.

I like Gerald Celente position: disconnect from the system, stay away. You can not beat it. If you believe you can make a change you are insane. If you vote for one of the two presidential candidates you vote for advancing the police state, perpetual war, economic collapse, wealth transfer to already super-rich.  In case one likes some local administration candidate vote for him/her.

Thankfully, I no longer feel compelled to make that decision because....

a) I make exactly the same amount of money whether I get taxed more and the feds spend more (upping my number of clients) or tax me less (minimizing govt. spending, ergo, gross income). Truth is...I make more when the Democrats are in.

and....

b) As a Republican, who voted for Bush Jr. against Gore (please forgive me), but discovered that (agreeing with the system that we purportedly...or rather....I was taught we elect Presidents and others by) Gore received slightly more than 1,000,000 more popular votes, by the people....yet he didn't become President (Electoral College) and so....

I deduced rather abruptly that if Gore won (and he did), he should have been our President (I'm fairly confident he's not at all unhappy now)....and I would have been fine with that....as I would have presumed others would have been fine had Bush Jr won the popular vote.

Ergo my (and your) vote....means nothing.

Since then....I couldn't care less who gets in.

Fascinating.

You know the funny thing is Yachtie....you have an opinion, it's fairly well noted (as is mine), both of us tend towards facts as opposed to opinion, history as opposed to wishful thinking, and very few will look at this video showing a completely unbiased opinion by a very astute man, who just spent 4 minutes basically saying "use your brain" because they'll presume it's basis is based on who posted it....as opposed to simply letting this data come in, mull around inside their (hopefully fruitful gray matter) and make their own decisions....as it should be.

And now I've no doubt shattered all the more any who might have reviewed this short little snippet because of what they presume I stand for....as opposed to what I actually do (and have always stated).

Gawd this forum sucks....so many miss the point of just about everything because they simply choose to.

Put Cthulhu on the ballot.

Why vote for the lesser evil? [:D]

I had never heard of this character Keyes prior to watching this video. I found his argument (if I can grace it with that label, a bit of a stretch in itself) plain silly.

There are real differences between Obama and Romney. For instance, Obama seems far more astute in the area of foreign policy and is showing every sign of resisting Netanyahu's efforts to entangle Obama and the USA in another pointless Middle Eastern aggression. Romney doesn't show any such sign - he gives every sign of being more of a foreign policy innocent than Bush the Dumber, and that's setting the bar really low to begin with.

This fact alone is sufficient to separate the two candidates - one is far less likely to go to war. And there are few more important issues for politicians to decide than war and peace. All of which reduces Keyes' argument - that there are no differences between the two - to the nonsense it is.

DomKen -> RE: Still undecided? (9/26/2012 2:55:54 AM)

Keyes is the Domionist idiot that Obama beat in his Senate campaign. Since then he has climbed on the birther bandwagon so calling him an idiot might be too generous.

Here's the thing, Aswad.. I don't think I'm voting for evil at all.. just human and that is sort of a requirement for me, so Cthulhu is out. Not even going to bother vetting him. [;)]

Tweakabelle, think about this for a minute....why would you imagine we've, over the last 11 weeks, put 7 battle groups just outside of the Straight of Hormuz if Obama wasn't planning for a possibility of being in involved in that war?

I don't see any war games being planned for the coast of Italy.

None on the coast of Chile.

Obama has time to fly to California on Air Force One, but no time in his schedule to meet in the White House with Israel.

Politesub53 -> RE: Still undecided? (9/26/2012 4:26:24 AM)

Obviously Obama has decided to give Iran a show of strength.

Lookie, you must have missed the memo about military excercises in the Gulf.

Not at all....that was my entire point.

So, do you believe it's better for the country if the office of president is left vacant? I'm not quite getting where you are going with this.. can you elaborate?
