I've actually been discussing the election with a good number of college kids, a bunch were home last weekend for Homecoming. I can't believe how many that have asked me a similar question. "How do you sort through all the noise and figure out who is telling the truth?" That question by itself impressed me. I just tell them, look at actions, the cause and effect of those actions and don't let anyone tell you what it is you are looking at. Think for yourself. And then I remind them while a Congressman or Senator represents you where you live, the President is a representative and employee to us all. The President should bring us together and keep us in step; he must be a leader, the coach, the boss and no matter the title he/she must be able to unify the team when times are at there worst. Think about the greats; Washington, Lincoln, FDR, Kennedy, Reagan and even Clinton had a knack for unifying the government and we the people when that was what we needed most.
