That was off topic where it was posted... I have had two(?) posts pulled for being off topic, it is one of the reasons that I decided to stay primarily in the "Casual Banter" Section. I did not feel that they should have been pulled. I communicated with the Moderator and had a good discussion, though I disagreed with the proposed solution. For that matter I was also involved with the issues in the "Introduction" section and regarding the use of animated gifs. I guess I have either been bored or just an asshole the last month or so...

Personally, I choose to interact here, though I have changed some of my behaviors... for the most part I post as I wish and deal with the fall out. All-in-all I think that the mods do a fairly decent job in a thankless volunteer position, though there are a couple of points I have disagreed upon. I think that "off topic" might have calmed down a bit, I think there has only been a couple actual train wrecks, and I think they are trying to limit personal attacks while allowing for the regular amount of snark that you might expect from the personalities involved.

I think that several people have felt that moderation has been heavy handed and I think it is finally being addressed...

I beg to differ. In the first part of the thread LP said she was afraid of being off topic, and they asked about continuing the discussion of the subject of the actual OP, of which I weighed in on. I expanded my answer to include statistics to back up what I said. No offense, but I did exactly what yall seem to be saying is not allowed, when in fact it is. With the huge number of posts that ARE pulled on a weekly basis, (outside of P & R) I felt it necessary to list the exact number. Seven.........there is also a small group of specific posters that seem to be having great dissatisfaction recently, when in fact, the Collarme Team has not changed what they do, nor have the rules changed. These are also posters that, until very recently, have seemed very happy on the forums, some of them even tirelessly until recently vigorously defended Collarme at times on Fetlife. Now, it's just strange, with only one change onsite, and no changes in the rules of the Collarme team, there are all of a sudden problems that did not seem to exist before. I have never squashed comments about the site or moderation, whether good or bad. I cannot say there is not some inconsistency on the part of moderation I can only say that the Collarme team has not changed one iota on their policies or actions.

LP, I had no problem with you starting this thread. Again, though, In the last week, ONLY 7 posts(not including P & R) from ALL USERS have been pulled for being off topic, and NONE were thread drift, You personally have not had a post removed for off topic since March 22, yet there have been a plethora of posts in the last few days of you saying that you were going to have comments pulled for off topic. I'm puzzled truly. Amazingly, none of the posters that had those 7 posts pulled are the ones that are talking about too many posts being pulled for off topic at this moment.

I am including all of the Collarme team to try to draft something up, because , truly, if the users state there is a problem I will definitely address it. All that was said was it would be addressed, and that a lot of the same comments had been made by the same people in the No Moderation thread. You are welcome to continue to post. I will not be answering this thread again, however, because, as I said, I would address this in a separate post about thread drift specifically and the casual bantering back and forth during a thread that has never NOT been allowed. I am taking the time, however to make sure all of My moderators are on the same page etc. before posting as clear and concise of a statement as I can.

I think that would help... just my opinion and we all know that doesn't mean shit.
Now monkeys, that's another story.

LadyPact -> RE: The Conclusion (9/28/2012 10:33:24 PM)

Alpha, you're wrong. Go look at My CM mail. I didn't lie. When have you ever known Me to do that?

VideoAdminAlpha -> RE: The Conclusion (9/28/2012 10:47:06 PM)

I WILL go look. That is all the documentation there is but, you are correct, as you know I do not lie either. I will definitely go look. My apologies in advance if I am incorrect, and if so, will come here and let you know. (Let me put it this way, I knew even when I wrote it, it was not something you would intentionally hedge about, but that IS what the logs say.) I will go look.

As of Sept 22, from Chi...

"

I have removed several of your posts from "Do you want slave for life?"

Thank you for your participation on the CollarChat forum. We hope you are enjoying your membership.

Please refrain from baiting other users. When you find yourself about to bait another user, please take a few minutes to regain your composure before posting. Strong opinions are allowed and passionate discussion is sure to occur, but when the posts turn away from the topic and towards the poster, we must call a halt.

LadyPact -> RE: The Conclusion (9/28/2012 10:59:28 PM)

If we're gonna dance, we should dance on the other side.

VideoAdminAlpha -> RE: The Conclusion (9/28/2012 11:05:10 PM)

Then why post it here? You are correct, we should do this on the other side. My statement stands:

In the last week, ONLY 7 posts(not including P & R) from ALL USERS have been pulled for being off topic, and NONE were thread drift, You personally have not had a post removed for off topic since March 22, yet there have been a plethora of posts in the last few days of you saying that you were going to have comments pulled for off topic. That was not pulled for off topic. The rest needs to be done in private. I am only answering this since you posted your own golden letter here. I never addressed anything but OFF TOPIC, and only replied to you because was to something specific.

To Cryptic, see I am letting ALL your off topic comments stay.,I will make my thread concerning the above subjects at a later date and will not be answering about this subject on this thread

To everyone else, I DO care what you think about this and that is why the CM Team is getting together so that everyone, users and my moderators are on the same page.

LadyPact -> RE: The Conclusion (9/28/2012 11:10:17 PM)

As you always say, My mail box is always open.

For the rest, what Alpha and I seem to need to settle between us SHOULD NOT INFLUENCE YOU. The fact that she's willing to listen to Me shouldn't affect you in the least.

I'm sure that she and I will be back, after some words.

I will apologize for seemingly poking... yet, I am not doing this in one of the forum discussions, I am doing it in the section marked "Casual Banter" and in a thread in the section "Off Topic". And yet, my "off topic" responses have been stating that I thought the mods on the same page would be a positive thing and my second one was just humorously pointing out that you responded after you stated that you would no longer respond to this thread. Irreverent perhaps, blasphemous maybe but not necessarily off topic.

Now, it's just strange, with only one change onsite, and no changes in the rules of the Collarme team, there are all of a sudden problems that did not seem to exist before.

Which change would that be?

Is it the one where posts containing only a link and no dialogue in the OP would be pulled? Where the only place this is indicated is in a sticky inside the P & R forum where the majority of posters wouldn't see it?

It can't be that or this post would be gone. http://www.collarchat.com/m_4246887/tm.htm

Or maybe it's about the overuse of animated gifs? It can't be that either, because I was told that rule was pre-existing, even though it isn't indicated anywhere, such as an obvious place like the "Administrative Announcements" where a simple post could be made to request posters refrain from overuse of animated gifs that can affect functionality of "behind the scenes" software use. I guess it's easier to just pull posts on threads where few animated gifs exist and state that a moderator post located inside of a thread that not everyone could have possibly read explains that animated gifs are frowned upon.

And I know it can't mean personal attacks or the one made to me that I have linked in my signature line, would have been gone last year when it was first made and when I first reported it and where that ticket, instead of being addressed, was simply deleted by one of the moderators and where, even after I reported this as well, nothing was ever addressed.

Nope. It must be something else.

Edited to add:

Whaddya know...the "cunt" comment is gone. CRYPTICLXVI alerted me to it. But it was there a couple of days ago when I last checked.

No explanation about the deleted ticket though. :)

LadyPact -> RE: The Conclusion (9/28/2012 11:15:57 PM)

C, don't get yourself dirty in the mud.

ETA - D, same to you.

I'll be happy to discuss these matters on the other side.

I just removed it as I was not aware of it until now and am answering you on the other side about the rest.

Indeed.

And the denials are as humorous as listening to repub politicians 'debate' their stance on issues.

NudeBloke1 -> RE: The Conclusion (9/29/2012 5:17:05 PM)

I am still naked.

LadyHibiscus -> RE: The Conclusion (9/29/2012 5:18:34 PM)

Pictures or it didnt happen.

LadyPact -> RE: The Conclusion (9/29/2012 5:22:08 PM)

Agreed.

I don't think your cousin, Nudeman, was any more forthcoming in that area. [;)]

<Wanders off mumbling something about thousands of cock shots on the internet, but somehow, this one is missing.>

LadyHibiscus -> RE: The Conclusion (9/29/2012 5:24:02 PM)

Nudeman had an alarmingly furry avatar, actually.
