Hopefully because she enjoys humilation. I guess I should acknowldge the difference. I enjoy some humilation, but not degradation. The trick with huliation is to find out what humilates her (or him). I find nothing more humilationg than to lie in the arms of someone I love, hiding my face in his chest in embarrasment, and be 'made' to tell my dirtiest fantasies - all of which, amazingly, have to do with humilatioon. But none of which i would want to live, though a weekend of rolepalying I might go for.

Degradation and humiliation are not the same thing.

I don't do degrading either. Last Dim who tried to degrade me ended up running away with his teeny weener tucked between his legs.

I'm with the others who dislike the term 'degrade' because it suggests contempt for a person. For me, no matter how dark the things I do for my Master, I know they are an expression of our love for each other, so they are the opposite of degrading.

But semantics aside; humiliation and things like it are a murky area for me. It still makes me blush if he makes me ask for a spanking. At the other end of the spectrum, during a really dark session I like it when he treats me like trash. But always followed up with a whole bunch of love, so that I'm never left thinking that about myself. Making fun of my body would put me in a bad space since I'm dealing with some serious insecurities on that front - It would make me suspect that he really thought I was ugly because I think that too. On the other hand, there has to be some grain of truth to it - calling me stupid has no effect because I know it's untrue.

In terms of acts, rather than things he says, I take a lot of pleasure from doing things I dislike purely to please him. The really sadistic part comes in when he has me do things he's not particularly interested in himself, purely because he knows I hate it - I suppose that could be considered humiliation/degradation. It's one thing doing an unpleasant task that he absolutely loves, and quite another to do something he has chosen purely to make me uncomfortable.

Phew. Excuse me. I need some air.

I think i am among the few females who really grooves on degradation. It isn't always healthy though nor is it easy. For me, it has to be coupled with intense aftercare which generally lasts for a week or so putting me back together again. I don't do degradation play because i am not in a healthy and strong relationship atm.
Some ways to degrade them... push his or her head into a (clean) toilet bowl while you fuck it in the ass. Dump the garbage can (previously selected so as to not cause health issues) over her head and call her a worthless whore. meh use your imagination.

I understand about humilation needing to have a grain of truth. it wouldn't effect me to be called stupid, either, unless you convinced me you believed that, and then I'd leave the relationship. Being called fat, now, that is fun. I understand it is not fun for most subs, because most have body issues. I am happy with my body, if not always with my health issues - I think I'm beautiful. And I can't imagine dating someone who didn't think that, too.

Wait, that's not true. My second master, who is still a dear, dear friend, told me early in our relationship that he didn't find my beautiful, but that it just wasn't important to him. I could date someone I really believed meant that. Of course, he later told me I was beautiful. Love does strange things to the eyes.

autumn, thos ideas take some set up work, but I think they are hot. A former master had another sub he used to have say, each time she flushed the toilet, 'there goes the best part of me'. That would be too much for me, because repeating it often, I'd be afriad it would start to get to my self-esteem. I might be wrong, because I have a pretty healthy esteem of myself, but I woudn't be willing to risk it.

I personally identify the different levels. Degradation, to me, is a step further than humiliation. I realize though that bdsm terms are often disagreed upon

I will not degrade someone I care about....AT ALL. I also don't do humiliation. I just....don't. There are so many things other than those to do.
