I've been here almost 5 years. In that time, I've met roughly a dozen people. Of those, I've played with three. Another likes to have me tell him what to do over the Internet, but I wouldn't call us play partners. Of those four individuals, I've had sex with one. There was some physical contact with two others, but since I never took my clothes off, I'm not counting it.
Does that sound like a purely sexual connection to you?
Of the dozen or so people I've met, I've stayed friends with three. I have fairly regular contact with them, but we don't work as romantic partners for various reasons. That doesn't mean I have no emotional bond with them, however. In fact, I love my Faerie Princess very much, but she already has a Master and that relationship is primary for her, as it should be. She's more of a BFF than a girlfriend, but I would never say we had no emotional connection. That's just ridiculous.
I'm wondering why you seem to think that play = sex or that there's no emotional intimacy involved in it. You need to get out more.
