Yeah....I've tried that excuse. It didn't work. HAHAHAHA! Well, United believed it, oddly enough. They may be more forgiving than your husband, though. heh. And...yeah...sleep-eating is a thing. Wanna hear dangerous? Sleep-making-onion rings. If you can conceive of something more dangerous than deep-frying in a fugue state, don't do that thing, either. But it's worth it, for a good night's rest. And sweet, sweet Ambien won't leave you torpid the next morning, unless you drink along with it. Benadryl is also good (including over-the-counter stuff), but you will build up an immunity to it, eventually. Melotonin is pretty much a hoax. Used in combination with those other chems, though, it rocks. Exercise does NOT work, especially if you're using meds, too. Exercise reduces your need for sleep, and when combined with benadryl, makes some killer speed (remember when they called 'em "bennies," waaaayyyy back when? no? Benzadrine, a variant...Fleming even has Bond use some, during an underwater sequence, in one of the books)-- hence, your jitters. If you must use meds and exercise, do your workout in the morning, not in the afternoon or evening. Earplugs. Blackout cover on the windows. I have yet to test a sensory deprivation chamber. But I think that would be supreme.
