Hn. Was it? I apologise then. As I've said, I have no personal stake here, either way. I feel no particular malice towards the OP. I am under the impression that he baited the abuse he received with distinct remarks of his own which I could not locate when I wrote the previous post, thus the assumption of silent edits. If I am mistaken, then I am mistaken. Please pay me no mind.

Poster edits, also known as "thinking better of it", are a different matter, yes.

Thank you all.

Yep, that's very fair. Particularly in my case.

I am dyslexic as well. Thats why I am always editing my posts. I tend to misplace words - in where I place words backwards.
eg: I'll type something like: ( THIS IS WHAT WANT I ) instead of ( THIS IS WHAT I WANT )

I am also dyslexic with numbers. I would make a very poor bank teller.

The original post showed little sign of his language challenges and was mocked, as you must know happens on these forums, because it was a question routinely considered ridiculous and not for its language structure.--- the thing I have just realised is that this thread has been silently edited. Originally at the bottom of the first page, before he thanks crazy, he wrote a barely legible and inflammatory post we might describe as "I am a Dom! Respect me, all you peasants!" (my impression is he also called everyone who answered with less than 100% seriousness retards) which incited the replies currently near the top of page 2 and some other less polite comments on his character, and a subsequent fight between OP and LW in which the OP was condescending and ungracious, then brings out the "I am dyslexic, cut me a break" card as though that justified his abuse of the other posters. The last I observed of that particular little tangent concluded with Janah's comment on eggplants; and that was what I was referring to when I said

quote:

But I don't think people thought you were stupid because you were dyslexic, they thought that because you asked a silly question, failed to see how silly it was, and attacked them for it.

I am sorry, I am sure he is a fairly reasonable human being on his best days, but the last 24 hours had not been his best and he deserves the lack of respect he is feeling from the earlier posts in this thread.

Exactly - see I saw that crap too = the crap that he wrote that was modded out. And thats why I wrote what I wrote.

Thats the kind of modding that really irritates me - so that everyone else looks like an asshole - instead of the person who actually deserves it. Then this guy comes out with - "oooooh I have dyslexia - you guys are picking on me, whahh whahh whahhh."

Thumbs down to the modding on this thread for sure.

I have less regard for his dyslexia, than his being brave enough to write in a second language. I have formally taken instruction in two more languages than my native tongue -and can do little more than count up to 10.

so , for me , regardless of his intend, i respect the ability to learn another language well enough to communicate in it.

as for the question - you know that i am serious when i take my clothes off.

edited to add - because that means i have gone past casual perusal and am into serious consideration of keeping the relationship.

Janah, you know I adore you, but seriously, the editing that has been done has been on the parts of the posters. Check it out. Not a single edited post has any admin tag to it.

Does it leave a trace when entire posts are pulled?

I dunno about that, but when it's simply edited, it will be identified by who edited.

You won't be able to see a post that has been removed, but nothing has been removed from this thread.

I was a little quick to get angry today I'm sorry and the first time I got upset was perhaps a little on the high side but after I think I was attacked and my defense was reasonable and I actually think that people who blow themselves very up doing it because they feel small I do not know if it was what happened here and the strange thing is that I actually have a problem to be too afraid of conflict

michael...

Welcome to the boards...

You can`t be thin skinned and last long here, take what some say with a grain of salt...they are just messin` with you a bit!

For the most part there are a lot of good people here...

So hang out, ask away and chill when you do not hear what you want...

Peace
