There's degrees of dyslexia, and differences in the level of coping techniques learned and/or imparted. When I met nephandi, she couldn't read words she hadn't already memorized, unless they were four characters at most and monosyllabic. Now, she can read WOT, though it requires significant effort for her to read long polysyllabic words that are unfamiliar to her. Some people can't string together any words at all. I'm thinking kudos to him for trying to overcome what must be a difficult condition to deal with, and in a second language to boot. The program he's using is a $500+VAT specialized tool that incorporates speech transcription and more. Thus, the "everything has spellcheck" thing people throw out doesn't really cut it.
