Well the GOP and the KKK are both stupid backwoods organisations composed mainly of old white guys, hicks, and idiots who hate blacks and gays so I can see where the mistake could be made

Whether political jazz is allowed at the school or not doesn't matter. The comments are wacky. I don't agree with Romney, but I wouldn't say he was remotely like the KKK unless he burned crosses and lynched black people.

I mean, being part of the KKK was pretty specific.

His religion has some pretty wacky ideas in regards to race.

There are a variety of "brands" of Mormonism - some are fundamentalists and some are not so. So I wouldn't brand him as KKK just because he's a Mormon.

Don't forget that the KKK was started by Democrats.

Nor I. But a prime example of Romney evading. He could have squarely put the whole issue to bed in his address at the NAACP....but, alas, he didn't

LillyBoPeep -> RE: Wearing a Romney T shirt is like being in the KKK (10/6/2012 7:28:13 AM)

He dances jigs everywhere, none of his stances are concrete. =p Nothing new there. Still doesn't mean he's KKK.

Obama is no better. He apologizes for being half anything but black.
He's not bipartisan, he's for blacks only. I'm for all the colors...not for exclusionists like obama...he's no more race friendly than anyone in the kkk.
I'd rather follow charles barkley....at least you know where he stands.
Obama is a twisted liar at best.

He does bow nicely though, don't you think?

For sure. And his sister-in-law? I bet he hates her and wont speak to her. Though, you know the black part of him prolly wants to jump her. Since, she is blonde.

Hows that? Got anymore stereotypes you can throw in there?

Don't forget that the KKK was started by Democrats.

You really should do your homework.

True.

From Wikipedia-

Lifting the Klan mask revealed a chaotic multitude of antiblack vigilante groups, disgruntled poor white farmers, wartime guerrilla bands, displaced Democratic politicians, illegal whiskey distillers, coercive moral reformers, sadists, rapists, white workmen fearful of black competition, employers trying to enforce labor discipline, common thieves, neighbors with decades-old grudges, and even a few freedmen and white Republicans who allied with Democratic whites or had criminal agendas of their own. Indeed, all they had in common, besides being overwhelmingly white, southern, and Democratic, was that they called themselves, or were called, Klansmen.[41]

The democrat of today is not that of yesteryear. Same for republican.

Agreed. That important point often gets overlooked.

The Klan was started by 6 individuals who thought it a great hoot to ride around in that garb... they didnt even know they were scaring anyone at first. Once they found out, they took advantage of that fact.

First KKK
The first Klan was founded in 1865 in Pulaski, Tennessee, by six veterans of the Confederate Army.[15] The name is probably from the Greek word kuklos (κύκλος) which means circle, suggesting a circle or band of brothers.[16]

Birth of the Klan
Six college students founded the Ku Klux Klan between December 1865 and the summer of 1866 in the town of Pulaski, Tennessee. Former Confederate officers, the six young men organized as a social club or fraternity and spent their time in horseplay of various types, including wearing disguises and galloping about town after dark. They were surprised to learn that their nightly appearances were causing fear, particularly among former slaves in the area. They quickly took advantage of this effect and the group began a rapid expansion. Various factions formed in different towns, which led to a meeting in April 1867 to codify rules and organizational structure.
