We also have machines that cannot discern whether a rock is alive or dead. We have machines that cannot tell that they are overflowing the wash. We have machines that cannot tell they are out of gas.

You are aware that we have medical schools that teach people how to become doctors....
That is what seperates those with uneducated opinions from those who actually make medical dedissions based on knowledge and not opinion.

Before its passage through the "magic vagina time tunnel" (anyone playing the CM drinking game, take a shot!), the baby is completely contained within the body of his or her mother, with profound impacts on the woman's size, shape, hormones, health, and emotions. After birth, the baby is not.

It's intriguing and probably more than a little revealing that your "pro-life" post reduces the mother to a "tunnel." Ditto for your comparison of childbirth--aptly described by scientist-journalist Barbara Ehrenreich, who's been through it twice, as "a physiological crisis which is occasionally fatal and almost always excruciatingly painful"--with a video game.
