Considering the attempt was to be somewhat faithful to the book, not really.

The show did a better job of making Drogo's death more like a warrior, though. The book glossed over him getting the injury, while the series showed how he got hurt.

I do believe she is one of two of *the* main characters so killing her off isn't likely

IMHO she is "fire" (A Song of Ice and Fire). And the other is ice. And dead, right now... but with some Dondarrion-stlye chances still if I can Melisandre it correctly...

You talking about John snow? I'm still mad at what they did to him. Ingrates. I hope he dies and comes back. Upon his death his oath to the watch would be voided. Which would free him to get his his fathers castle back.

Yes, of course I was :)
This is... an aspect of the story that I actually had not realised. But you are right, of course. I am sure the founders of the Night's Watch did not think about that form of coming back when they designed the Oath. Funny!
And yes, I am pretty sure he will be awaken. Beric was for me a hint. The presence of Melisandre there is another. And then Azor Ahai sent her visions about the "Chosen", she saw... snow, instead of Stannis. Snow.

Besides our dear lilmissdefiant, is there any other "male-interested" (homo man, hetero female...) here who finds Kahl Drogo the most sexy man of the show?

I say it because, from my point of view, Jorah Mormont, Eddard Stark and even Tywin (yep!) Lannister are kind-of more "manly / serious / charismatic". Kahl Drogo looks for me, I am sorry, a bit of like a weight lifter on hormones. Like "pumped", filled with air. I would follow earlier any of the other three to battle. I hope lilmiss does not get offended.

But I am *not* male-interested, unfortunately (I would love to be bi, seems the most efficient sexual orientation). So maybe I just do not "feel it".

I have felt for a long time that Jon Snow was more of a main character like Danarys than most of the rest of them. I am also suspicious that Tyrion is a main lead as well. Don't forget, there are 3 dragons that need riders. I'm fairly confident that Danarys and Jon are the first 2, but I'm not sure about the third, I suspect it's Tyrion. My reasoning is this...there will IMO likely be one person from each of the 3 families to ride a dragon (that's what makes sense to me anyway) ...NO ONE in the Lannister family other than Tyrion has the purity of heart to do anything but get eaten.
I'm glad the new season is out. I wish Martin would finish the damned story. it pisses me off that HBO keeps throwing money at him without putting conditions down. I'm glad the series doesn't focus on food as much as the books do though...holy shit I got sick of reading what the feasts looked like, that's not the "juicy" I wanted to be reading about LOL!

I guess he was hungry when he wrote it. Who knows, the way jamie is coming around he may end up worthy. Besides I laugh my ass off every time I think about the crowd calling cersei brother fucker.

I totally agree with you on Tyrion riding the third dragon. It would be very coo. Unfortunately Martin has a thing for destroying expectations and predictable ends, so who knows.

One person from each of three families? Jon being a Stark? My reasoning is more like - he likes dragons and is around Daenerys already. And yes, of course he could be an interesting ally if they arrive Westeros, for God's sake, he *is* the Lord of Casterly Rock, in theory. And we all love him.

Yes, Martin should finish the story. The danger that he does not at all is big.

The food is, IMHO, a very interesting and positive aspect of the books. They show people from a completely alien culture(s). Alien food is interesting. I liked that. Sorry, cannot agree on that.

Best regards!
