I thought the President said American Troops were leaving Afghanistan for good in 2014...

Per the Administration #2 " "We are leaving in 2014, period, and in the process, we're going to be saving over the next 10 years another $800 billion," [vice President] Biden said. "We've been in this war for over a decade. The primary objective is almost completed. Now all we're doing is putting the Kabul government in a position to be able to maintain their own security. It's their responsibility, not America's."

I guess not...

Yeah, I think you read alot into Biden's words that aren't there, since the President has made it clear that he has never contemplated doing that as President.

They may cease local hostilities, but I see no reason to give up the perch on Pakistan, when there are more to get.

Well... you have made it perfectly clear you back the expansion of the Executive Branch using war powers (as long as it's your Executive that it)

This question was aimed more at the Peace Crowd.

WTF is the "Peace Crowd."

If you meant pacifists, then no military involvement anywhere makes them happy. If you meant someone ele you'll have to define who you meant.

I don't know how I made that clear, since I back no expansion. The right reads alot of horseshit into the horseshit they peddle.

Since the question began with substantially incorrect premises, I don't see that you have a question.
