Reading David Brin books now.  I've read Sundiver, Startide Rising, The Uplift War & Brightness Reef.  Reading Infinity's shore now and will be reading Heaven's Reach next.  Books are a bit of a tough read.

I really liked the George R.R. Martin books.  I look forward to the A Feast For Crows paperback.

I may read some Orson Scott Card, Ursula LeGuin, maybe find a boxfull of DeathLand books, Harry Turtledove, David Eddings, etc.  whatever is a good series that I can pick up as a set on ebay.

Read about 8 of the Left Behind books. They were awful.  Glad I got them on ebay since they are a ripoff.

But maybe I should use Wikipedia as a guide... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sex_in_science_fiction or http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_BDSM_authors  But since I usually read to clear my mind to help me sleep, that might not be a good idea

Reading the constant princess by phillipa gregory at mo.
Just read sleep with me by joanna briscoe - def reccomend.
Also anything by torey hayden is heartbreaking but a fantastic read. She is a special needs teacher who has looked after a lot of children who have suffered some form of abuse. Hard to read at times but worth it.

Jacqueline Carey's Kushiel series is a must. First time writer went straight to the top of the bestseller list. it contains elements of d/s and bdsm and is wonderfully written.

If you liked "Carrie's Story" you'll probably like Laura Antoniou's "The Marketplace" series. Centered around an underground world of consentual slavery, it's some of the best bdsm erotica out there.  Highly recommended.

Yea Kushiel was decent.  It's worth reading.  Personally, I didn't enjoy it enough to read the series, however I can't remember what I didn't like.

My Dom is reading the "Story of O" to me right now. I like it a lot.

Personally I'm reading a Prevention Health magazine.

*g*  Reading... one of my favorite topics.  This is one of the things that my Lord and I do together; I read to him at night.  We just finished Rules of Prey by John Sanford and we are about to start the second book in the series, Shadow Prey.

Favorite book of all time, Outlander by Diana Gabaldon.

This is the series where my Lord and alandra got the picture of the rose to put on alandra's back.... but it is a cutting and not a tatoo like the characters.

Has anyone ever noticed the BDSM emphasis in the Anita Blake series written by Laurell Hamilton? Very enoyable reads.

i love recreational reading and it is one of the things that helps me relax and sort through my feelings.  i find that i like books that have a strong independent woman as the main character. a woman that does  not need a man in her life but will defers to the right man for her.  *grins* and heaven help anyone else that tries to rule her.

my favourite series is the Earth Children's series by Jean M Auel.  No BDSM in the books but very much D/s oriented, Male rules and female follows *ss*  at least in the first book.

Yes, in one of the Anita Blake books, "Narcissus in Chains "  one of the main settings is in a BDSM club, *winks* talk about the ultimate masochist in any of the were animals. *grins*

Christine Feehan (think the spelling is right) who writes about Carpathians, the relationship is all about D/s, strong Dominant man claiming and binding his woman to him.
