ORIGINAL: TheHeretic After watching the disgrace the President made of himself and the office last night, I'm going to stick my neck out and say Romney will win the election, and by a margin only the biggest of douchebags will try to lie away. The Obama campaign may still have some dirty trick they are waiting to fling, but I'm putting my faith in the ability of the American people to see right through it, if it comes. Do you remember the 2010 Congressional elections, where we were saying it was going to be historic? The Dem true believers just couldn't see it: they were living in their own little bubble. This kinda has the same feeling, and has had for several months. Firm Cept`n ...... is wasn`t historic...... It was the most typical of mid-term/non presidential elections, save the fact that you cons didn`t win both chambers of congress. The electorate left you cons with just one chamber of congress and us with the rest.......ie...... most of the power,ie you didn`t "win" that election. I also recall a lot of dire warnings about how awful dems were going to suffer when you cons took all of congress......especially from the debate champ. . Didn`t work out that way tho......champ.Did it? [:D] Speaker boner can`t even keep the ts in line. Let alone get a law passed. Under J-boner`s leadership....congress has sunk to a single digit approval rating...... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I`ll point to '94' as the best parallel to today`s election..... President Clinton, after winning his 1st election, had an extreme and bellicose Newty and crew, winning control of the HofRs, in the mid-term election..... That, was historic,in that America kept you cons OUT of control of the HofRs for nearly half a century. To which two years later.........Clinton ran against Newt and his ilk after proved so embarrassing and becoming more and more unpopular. The same thing is happening now......only with a much more extreme GOP agenda and very much out of control GOP Hof Rs.
