Problem here is most people rely on the ads and the debates yet fail to do research themselves to determine an outcome. Instead they let other decide for them. You know these ads are made to target your emotions and swing you toward seeing it from their side so they will say anything they can to exploit that. To the people voting this election I'm not telling you who to ote for but I am telling you research both sides from both points of views and fact check what they say instead of blindly believing or just don't vote at all.

If you make the claim, be prepared to back it up. There are many of us who will, sometimes begrudgingly, agree when our own "man of choice" fucks up.

Please dont assume you know people here. Unless you are willing to admit this isnt your first dive into the pits of P&R hell.

You're catching on.

I started catching on after his Keynote Speech at the 2004 DNC Convention.

Then address the posts related to your claim.

Many switched parties after Kennedy and Civil Rights, making the waters murky for both sides.

Im sure Strom chimes a few bells.

Not the ad I was talking about because I can't even find the ad by it self ( maybe I am searching it under the wrong name) but during my search I did find this ad that also was just wrong in the facts. http://www.mrc.org/node/40588

Yeah, you dont research much---- check out TechCo on the Bain site, and know that of their outsourcing experts at Bain, the bulk of them are overseas.

Little leg up for you there on your rightwing research, from the source.  That is just one example.

At the end of the article.....

The choice is clear. The Romney-Ryan ticket represents a constricted and backward-looking vision of America: the privatization of the public good. In contrast, the sort of public investment championed by Obama—and exemplified by both the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act and the Affordable Care Act—takes to heart the old civil-rights motto “Lifting as we climb.” That effort cannot, by itself, reverse the rise of inequality that has been under way for at least three decades. But we’ve already seen the future that Romney represents, and it doesn’t work.
The reëlection of Barack Obama is a matter of great urgency. Not only are we in broad agreement with his policy directions; we also see in him what is absent in Mitt Romney—a first-rate political temperament and a deep sense of fairness and integrity. A two-term Obama Administration will leave an enduringly positive imprint on political life. It will bolster the ideal of good governance and a social vision that tempers individualism with a concern for community. Every Presidential election involves a contest over the idea of America. Obama’s America—one that progresses, however falteringly, toward social justice, tolerance, and equality—represents the future that this country deserves. ♦

The choice is clear indeed. Couldn't be clearer in fact. The Romney-Ryan ticket represents what the Founding Fathers gave us -- liberty. The Obama-Biden ticket represents what the Founding Fathers opposed -- tyranny.

LMFAO it does? liberty?? REALLY???
tyranny..again, I dont think you now what that means
I really feeel huge pity for anyone who believes that.
But then I have no patience for wilful ignorance....just derision, contempt and a deep desire to wish you four years of Romney et al, ONLY without it affecting poor, sick, underemployed, women children and men, compassionate americans who really dont deserve it.

As an example this…”The platform demanded “once again, despite the reluctance of the Democrat 84th Congress, Federal assistance to help build facilities to train more physicians and scientists.” ... is part of Eisenhower’s Republican party platform in 1956.

A lot different today.

Democratic Party Platform of 1948
July 12, 1948

We pledge the early establishment of a national science foundation under principles which will guarantee the most effective utilization of public and private research facilities.

......

We favor the enactment of a national health program far expanded medical research, medical education, and hospitals and clinics.

.........

We advocate federal aid for education administered by and under the control of the states. We vigorously support the authorization, which was so shockingly ignored by the Republican 80th Congress, for the appropriation of $300 million as a beginning of Federal aid to the states to assist them in meeting the present educational needs. We insist upon the right of every American child to obtain a good education.

Talk about backwords this...."We reject the false Republican notion that this country can afford only a second-best defense. We stand for strong defense forces so clearly superior in modern weapons to those of any possible enemy that our armed strength will make an attack upon the free world unthinkable, and thus be a major force for world peace. The Republican Administration stands indicted for failing to recognize the necessity."...from the Democratic platform of 1956.

I am just amazed at all the obama ads I hear on the radio and see on t.v. because most of them are not relevant or they are flat out lying. Great example would be here in florida they play an add that talks about a plant closing and in the smallest print as a disclaimer at the bottom it says this all happened before romney was even involved but they make it look like it was a direct action that was caused because of romney. Extremely misleading ad and very dishonest. The people who support those type of endorsements are funding lies and false accusations

Complain to a republican. they made it "free speech".  Thanks to the wingnuts in the USSC, Super PACS, and hence the number and tenor of the ads you see. And if you don't like what Obama's ads say, perhaps you should really dig for the facts instead of allowing TV commercials, faux news, and blogs rule your thinking.
However, with that said Romney has in fact, had his hands directly on the wheel when both Bain Capital & Bain Consulting eliminated hundreds of thousands of jobs. And Romney  can say he's insulated from Bain now (He's not, his "blind trust" that keeps oozing millions is very closely associated with Bain to a large extent, and leverages the most profitable of Bain's ongoing projects).
What's really important though is that Romney PERFECTED Leveraged buyouts fitting the models described in these commercials. And he WAS Directly involved in most of Bain's deals under his stewardship, and he was mimicked by not only the rest of Bain's management, he was also considered the model for a wide swatch of the Private Equity Industry. So much so it became differentiated from basic VC.
And understand that by "Direct" I mean direct. It is an absolute requirement of Bain that if they fund your decline and sell you off to the highest bidder, Romney (when he was visibly part of Bain), your company would be subject to Romney as a controlling vote board member (or his proxy). So saying the ads are misleading is in and of itself, misleading. I am not mind you, faulting you with this. You are subject to the spin Romney's media proxies put out. If you search, you'll find some stark differences between what Romney's people are putting out and the reality of things.
And to say that the practices were encapsulated would be wrong as well. Here is an example in the words of local people who are basically just like the rest of us (Patch.com is local news by locals). In this particular example, it's just miles from my home, and I can personally vouch for it's veracity. The Mitt Romney "style" lives on today:

I can't help but thinking that this not actually help Obama. After all the average American, who distrusts people of intelligence, will just feel like this is all the more reason to vote against Obama. (I could have said "vote for Romney", but I still have a hard time processing how anyone would actually vote for Romney.)

But am I surprised that intelligent people support Obama. Not at all....

It doesn't require much intelligence to process this:

Obama = Socialist State
Romney = Democratic Republic

Correct. It takes virtually no intelligence at all to regurgitate BS labels handed one by fox news or OxyRush Limbaugh.
The above proves that I think. Those are very large specifications to claim authoratively without the slightest shred of proof.
