Wow... What the fuck? Someone comes here and posts something that wasn't trollish, wasn't stupid and was a genuine question/request maybe and gets fucked with as if they did act trollish, stupid and asked something very unreasonable. Her forum crime? She responded to someone with a condescending tone asking her not to do something she has shown no sign of doing in any prior post and doesn't even have a profile that would merit a bit of laughs for the masses.

What did she do? Except for not appreciating what was said to her, which honestly I wouldn't have appreciated either and is a newbie and the one that said it is not... the newbie gets slam dunked? What the hell ladies? This is getting far too high school mean chick around here.

Don't be fooled. I really am still here. Your bloated fucking ego and supposed popularity that allows you to belittle folks just coming into this doesn't wash with Me. I have watched you play mean girls club in intros, but I'm here to tell you..... no fucking more.

Whether it be intro's or anywhere else, the snark, those familiar with the forums and regular posters eating newbies to the forums is rather sickening and I believe ruins it for many that would be great additions to the boards. What is wrong that so many must feed on them? For so little? The OP of this tread did nothing wrong except to stand up to someone who in my opinion was acting rather condescending and correcting her before she did one damn thing.

We all get snarky. Snarky can be fun... but when you pick apart someone that is new for something like this... well... As LadyPact said in her thread, I may be digging my grave here.... but this is bull shit.

No, but a new poster that has taken part in a few threads was attacked for very little. I have a life... thank you very much. So I view what happened and commented on it. Big fucking deal. I stand by what I said, life or no life.

1) If it had been said to me, I wouldn't have taken it as snark.

i have to say that i'm a little surprised by some of the responses in here. ok so she thinks that LP is being snarky when maybe she isn't, but there really isn't any call for the rest of the snark that is being thrown about.

she asked a valid question about a rant and rave thread. i've seen them work very well on other sites, and considering some of the long running thread on here i see no reason why it couldn't work. on another site i use we have a 'what made made you smile today' and 'what made you fucking irate today' thread that run very well. you just use your common sence and don't post other people's names in there. however, it's mostly used for our everyday lives.

i wouldn't want to put all my rantings in my profile.....i usually put them in the i admit thread instead.

Hilly, I absolutely hate fetl. I have a very difficult time on websites that use black as their background color. I find it difficult to read, and it gives me migraines. I also have trouble navigating there.

I didn't say LadyPact was snarky. I said her comments were condescending and basically insinuating that the OP would just drop posts in places they didn't belong. So she posted her thread in positive exp. asking for the counter balance. Huge crime there! She is new and this was the welcome she got for asking a legitimate question without any prior history of being anything but someone new to the boards and posting just as anyone else does. Some of following post proved to be rather snarky to down right mean or uncalled for.

The Op doesn't have any friends here to come in and post on her behalf... I am just hoping that people will see the balance that might mean more people posting on the boards. She didn't do anything but stand up to a comment she didn't care for and she didn't go psycho about it either. Don't newbies have that right or is it just the regulars?

yes, that little bit was condescending folks, imo. god forbid, i make the mods unhappy with this one small post. sheesh.

i placed the comment in that particular section because i felt it was relevant at the time. now, i see it has been moved, and that is fine by me. if you notice, there were other comments that gave great advice that i actually followed.

and to the seasoned posters who said some not so nice things, being a "new poster" doesn't mean i shouldn't have an opinion or that it should be somehow less valuable than yours. i do believe the rules state something about being respectful, and i stated my opinion pretty respectfully.

thanks lockit! i didn't realize this thing has taken on a life of its own until i woke up this morning. lol

Before y'all have a fucking fit, try reading the whole thread. When somebody who has been here for a while suggests the WRONG place (i.e., the train wreck thread) to toss some negativity, maybe there might be some context there.

OP, if I had been snarky towards you, (and some of these folks are right, you ain't seen snark yet) I'd have sent you a link to that nice page on what goes where in the forums.

And to Lockit, we ain't in Intros. The post didn't start in Intros, and this doesn't have jack shit about people wanting to talk about kink in Intros. If you want to put up a past post, at least do it in context.

Are you really sure that you've been ok lately?


ETA - Before anybody confuses that with snark, it's not. It's concern.
