The Democrat in this race is Joe Donnelly. He is also against women's rights, so you might want to think twice about throwing any support in his direction. The ONLY pro-choice candidate for Dick Lugar's former seat in the US Senate is the Libertarian candidate, Andrew Horning. Not many have heard of him, since he offers no favors to the corporations who have donated MILLIONS OF DOLLARS to the other two bozos.

well, thank goodness i don't live in indiana then. i still think a petition in favor of Horning will be more helpful than one saying "shame on you, republicans!" it's more likely to affect the outcome of the race.

Nice photo and sig line. What the hell were we talking about? ;)

Um, yeah, I like Horning. He's run for office a few times before, and can quote the Indiana and federal constitutions about as well as anyone. But generally speaking, I agree that it's best to show support when it's deserved, instead of just focusing on the negative. For one thing, most people only contact politicians when they're upset, so I'd imagine that the positive feedback stands out more.

Id be happpy to tell him the same thing.

Here's the deal....and no right thinking man will ever debate this....women's rights are men's rights because without women....there ain't gonna be no men.

But, without men, there ain't ever gonna be no wimmens either.

Every TV show puts men down....every man (smart enough) when he hears women's rights being discussed....shuts the fuck up.

And I know, before I say it that there's waaaaay the fuck more men not paying child support than those that are....there's also kabillions of cases where men were railroaded by women who felt the maternal urge and....low and behold...."Daddy" was a new word in that man's vocabulary.

And here's another one....it's a woman's body....right?

No man has a say.

Isn't that his child...just as much?

If it's her body, but it's his paycheck...and no one's going after her paycheck.

Both wreck (or at least encumber) either sides future for a duration.

But he has no voice.

None.

Talk to me about that....with no bias.

She can discharge that child with nothing more than a whim.

Well, for someone who thinks abortion is abhorrent (but admittedly, doesn't have a uterus), I find this discussion difficult because I don't have to carry...but, having lost a child in 8 weeks, I'm forever crushed.

So....sue me....I hate this topic.

Lucylastic -> RE: Petition: Tell Republican Senate candidate Richard Mourdock: Rape is a heinous act of violence, and (10/25/2012 4:40:36 PM)

SO you can understand maybe why many women hate the thought of being controlled by government, by men, by religion to be one helll of a problem??

absolutchocolat -> RE: Petition: Tell Republican Senate candidate Richard Mourdock: Rape is a heinous act of violence, and (10/25/2012 5:12:33 PM)

Of course, but think about this....73% of medicare, and all (comparable %) health care is spent on....women.

So why the big discourse on why women are being under represented?

The truth is, men are under represented.

Men are NOT against your health care.

(By the way...men WANT you to be healthy because, when have you EVER seen a man bring YOU chicken soup?)

Abortion will NOT be taken away from you...Roe v Wade decided that...any debate is long wasted because it's been debated ad infinitum since Roe v Wade became law.

Get the fuck over it.

It's NOT going to be overturned.

Ya'll been bitching about this since it became law.

It's the gawdamn LAW!!!!!!!!

This is the equivalent of a guy coming home and saying...

"Hi hon, how was your day?"

"Fine" she says....

("Great" he thinks....grab a beer, chill....)....sumpin ain't right, and as men we all know it....

"What's up baby?"...."nothing"....and of course, we believe you....and....chill....

30 minutes later, when the room temperature has dropped to 34 degrees Fahrenheit, we realize...."sumpins wrong" and we hear "don't you wanna hear what's upsetting me?"

"Yeah".

And then there's this diatribe about all kinds of shit (varies with each man)....sparks fly (we did ask, by the way....)....and then we discover that (of course) we've fucked up somehow.

Here's the deal ladies....

Roe v Wade won.

Ain't no sane politician going to overturn it.

And that's a fact.

Move the flying fuck on.

No, I can't because health care controls health care...not men, and not women.

See my other post about Roe v Wade.

Most health care spending....is spent on women.

At worst, men are underrepresented in health care.

Lucylastic -> RE: Petition: Tell Republican Senate candidate Richard Mourdock: Rape is a heinous act of violence, and (10/25/2012 5:46:44 PM)

tell that to the research amounts spent on hair loss and erectile dysfunction
And the issues with ALL forms of female contraception
Please dont strawman me and change the subject to healthcare costs, because this is the BASIC human rights of women to control their own bodies, lives and futures and yes, I do see RvW being overturned should repubs getting in .... all it needs is USSC to change its balance, and its gone
like your argument...
Move the flying fuck on??
you have more chance of becoming the popes wife

Ya gotta love the liberal lefty; the champion of free speech (as long as they agree with it)!

Um, these "liberal lefties" are championing free speech right now.

While that is true, there are a lot of people out there who will buy into the "if you elect a president with a r by his name he will overturn it"

So the left keeps using it hoping they can convince others to vote their way. they don't give a shit about facts only spinning things their way.

Lucylastic -> RE: Petition: Tell Republican Senate candidate Richard Mourdock: Rape is a heinous act of violence, and (10/26/2012 8:50:08 AM)

With over a hundred bills and countless soundbites and the RNC platform saying putting an end to abortion
Yeah we would be silly to take your view on it being safe and not an issue
REALLY Fucking dumb to take that at "face value"

We've got a lot of insane fuckers in politics.

Hell, if you're sane, politics is probably the last place you'd want to go.

And frankly, that's the thing that astounds us on the Right. You (wimmens) have laws. They protect you and they have since the early 70's.

There isn't a man (or woman) who'd run for Prez that would ever have the balls to overturn.

It's been nearly 40 years, you're all in a panic about what would happen if......

There are laws....YOU made them happen.

Ergo, sum.

Let's fucking move ON!!!!!!

We have waaaaaaaaay the fuck more important shit to worry about now than shit that isn't going to change!

Let's focus on the debt, schools, education, math and sciences, stopping wars.....preparing our young (who ARE born) for the future.

And let's remove the burden from them that is absolutely unbearable.

Every election for about the last 40 years has included the left crying that abortion will be ended if we elect a repub for president. And you really think I should take them seriously this time? Yea, I don't think so.
