Status: offline 		John Sununu in an interview with CNN said the reason Colin Powell is supporting and voting for President Obama is because he is black....


SUNUNU: You have to wonder whether that’s an endorsement based on issues or that he’s got a slightly different reason for President Obama.

MORGAN: What reason would that be?

SUNUNU: Well, I think that when you have somebody of your own race that you’re proud of being President of the United States— I applaud Colin for standing with him.


So does that mean that Sununu supports willard simply because they are both rich white guys???? If you forgot Sununu is willards campaign co-chair


Of course later when he realized what he said he walked it back.....But I don't see how a questions about Powell endorsing the President gets turned into a question about him leaving the party??????

Sununu releases statement in response to controversy:

Colin Powell is a friend and I respect the endorsement decision he made, I do not doubt that it was based on anything but his support of the President’s policies. Piers Morgan’s question was whether Colin Powell should leave the party, and I don’t think he should.

There are people who are supporting Obama solely because he's black. There are people supporting Romney solely because Obama is black. Neither reason is a good reason.

What is a sad state of affairs is when people in power support that angle. It's wrong for any politician to support voting for or against someone based on skin color.

Status: offline 		for a gaggle of people that purport to be all compassionate and loving, I've never seen such hate filled speech and actions and it comes from the hard left (aka, democrat party). I don't hate obama because he is black; I hate the white part of him. What were you people thinking? He ran nothing.. not even a pop stand. His greatest accomplishment before government was being a parttime professor and his colleagues called him lazy and stupid.

Is your point that a public figure should be like a Stepford Wife" and only repeat approved political correct statements? That he cannot give his own honest opinions based on years of high public service and observations?
