ORIGINAL: Duskypearls If this has already been mentioned in this thread, my apologies. I was under the impression, perhaps mistakenly so, that STD's could transmitted in urine and saliva. Any body want to chime in on this? There are some std's that can be transmitted through kissing. It's not transfered through saliva, but rather through physical contact with the infected area. Herpes is one. Any of the topical diseases (like herpes, hpv, etc. which is on the surface, rather than carried through the blood) can be transfered through skin to skin contact. Most topical std's, however, are only contagious if there is a sore present (some a couple of days earlier), and a lot of them don't manifest sores at the mouth. I don't really know anything about what can be transmitted through urine, though.
