My question goes to someone having found you that you weren't expecting to find you whether it be significant other, your mom, or your 11th grade Chemistry teacher. Or inversely, have you ever "caught" someone you didn't think you would during your participation here?

Why is this in Positive Experiences?

OP, it would be a good idea to read the FAQ sticky at the top of each forum to figure out where this stuff goes. I'm sure a helpful Mod will be along soon to put this into the correct place.

Not on CM. But once, I SWEAR, I was talking to an ex GF on a phone sex line. Was 5+years since we dated and I called one and was talking to the girl. And as I told her more, like my name where I lived, what I was into she was like uhm, yeah? Then she asked me a couple more questions, but not like normal ones you would ask someone on a line like that. It sounded like she was trying to decide if I was someone she knew or not. Like she was kind of putting the pieces together. And as we spoke a bit more it started to remind me of her. At the end of the call, she was getting off and said, "Hey, I gotta go!" But it sounded EXACTLY like her! She used to say it exactly the same way. Weird thing is I have a high school reunion coming up...wondering if I should go?

Not here.

On another website, I had broken up with my Dom about two months prior. I had no picture up on my profile. My ex-Dom sent an email telling me I sounded perfect for him. I told him that I should, since he dated me for 6 years.

At the Lair, Master ran into his boss, who it turns out was a submissive.

I only did a rough survey and didn't dig into any FAQs. Positive or negative is really in the eye of the beholder where in essence it neither really mean a thing. Stop being such a stickler.

Nevertheless, the moderators ARE going to be sticklers.

LOL.

You can find the section guidelines for Positive Experiences here: http://www.collarchat.com/m_28350/tm.htm

As this thread does not meet those guidelines, it is now in Polls & Random Snippets.

Now that this issue is settled, please carry on with the original topic.

I guess the Mods were sticklers, too.

I know. It was really hard to read that whole sentence that describes the forum from the main menu.

Of course, in Polls and Random Stupidity, (I mean Snippets) I think we're allowed to be critical.

Where this got moved to is highly debatable. Besides being sticklers, I question the intelligence of the moderators as to where this ended up. Polls ask closed questions...this is an open question, clearly requesting elaboration beyond mere yes/no. And it is not some random snippet but central to possibilities as could occur on this website in terms of who you come across.

To me, running into another person that you know on this site unexpectedly is a positive experience. It might not be to everybody, but then positive and negative experiences never are as they are highly fickle beasts.

Oh, cry us a fucking river. Sheesh.

I got caught by my ex on OKCupid. No face pic. Sent me one of his signature abusive emails.

I've been feeling empowered for a good 20+ years now.

I've only been thinking a few new posters........ahem....... are dumbasses for a few hours.
