Voted Yet? - 11/6/2012 6:44:30 AM

Status: offline 		If you have please drop in here and tell us what it was like at the polls. How big was the line? How long in line. Did you see lots of people you knew? Where in the country are you? Anything relevant to the process you care to share. If you want to blather on about a candidate or a party, start your own thread please.

I have as of 7:01 am EST .... And that was a minute into the election.... The line right after I came out was 10 minutes deep ... In 5 elections in this precinct, I have NEVER seen a turnout anywhere near what I am seeing.
I took my station as a poll watcher right after that. It's 10ish and there has been no lull.

Status: offline 		I voted. waited about 20 minutes for the polls to open, I was about 15th in line. I was home at 7:22 (and that was including a stop to get smokes).

I didn't know anyone there, but that doesn't surprise me given how few people I actually know around here.

I'm in the Savannah, GA area.

Status: offline 		I voted about a half an hour ago. It was a good crowd, about what I usually see at the polls.

In the Presidential Election I voted for Obama.

In the Senate race I vote for some fringe candidate I never heard of.

In the House race... the one in which both candidates completely disgusted me, I wrote myself in (that's one vote, how many more do I need?).

In the race for state Senator, another one where both candidates disgusted me, I did another write in. I wasn't sure if you could write yourself in on two different elections... so I wrote in the ghost of my dead cat, Oliver.

In the local Sheriff's race the incumbent was unopposed - endorsed by every party. I can't say he's done a bad job, so I voted for him too.

Status: offline 		I voted early last week. The first time I went was at 830 before I opened the office and the line was long and voting wasnt going to start till 9. I left and came back at lunch. 5 minutes in and out.

Status: offline 		Voted early last week too by dropping off our mail in ballots at the one of the poling centers that is 3-minutes away from my house - in Northern Colorado. Took literally seconds.

I am grabbing tally sheets from other (manual) poll checkers and entering data through a brand new app we're testing. This is a small precinct and I just can't believe how steady the line is. It was 10 min at the start. It's dropped off to 8 minutes total wait time, but that is nuts for this place. This will be some election.

The early morning voting was busy where I am here in Florida. Typical, one of the poll workers said. People like vote early before work, or later in the day after work. I waited a bit and breezed right through.

Status: offline 		Voted last week. No line, didn't even have to leave my car. Just handed my ballot to an election official and they dropped it in the box before I pulled away.

Status: offline 		Took me 30 minutes from the time I walked out of my house til the time I returned to my house. Polling official told me it's been a good turn out, and a steady flow all day.

Status: offline 		I voted three times...no picture ID's needed in Missouri...

Nice long line about 10 am. Took me 20 minutes each time…two paper ballots and one electronic. The electronic election worker said he had to feed two rolls of paper already…first time since they had the machines they had to do that….So… good turn out in Missouri.

I voted absentee last week, also against "revenge."

Status: offline 		Himself and I voted around 11:30 am at our usual place, a firehouse that's a good half mile away from where we live.

There were twice as many people there as I have ever seen, which I view as a positive note. It's nice to see.

I ROCKED my vote about 3 hours ago.
I thought the line was fairly long for 10:30 a.m.
It took me about 65-70 minutes to vote, and from talking to other people at the polls the lines have been long all day.

I am in Northern Virginia, and we all know how important the vote is in Virginia.
I am feeling very optimistic right now, but we have to all wait it out.

Don't just vote---- Rock the vote!

It could be down to people being shit scared of one or the other candidate getting elected, though. Is that still a good thing?
