Eh....ladies and gentlemen point of this is to make you think of something happy right now :) to beat the winter blues :D

White chocolate coated raisins.
Plain chocolate coated brazil nuts.
Comics illustrated by Howard Chaykin, Kevin O'Neill, Carlos Equezerra, Barry Windsor Smith, Bryan Talbot or the awesome (and sadly deceased) Jack Kirby.
Almost any film involving Vincent Price.
Science fiction by Jack Vance.
First and second edition AD&D rules manuals, along with most flavours of Traveller, Champions/Hero, Runequest and Dragon Warriors.
That Hindu Love Gods album of most of REM and Warren Zevon doing over a load of blues standards.
Hearing a song for the first time that puts the same sort of nail through my spine I got from that one (or An Old Cricketer Leaves The Crease, John Martyn's version of I'd Rather Be The Devil, the proper Close Watch, whatever...)

More like that?

Oh Man John Martins version is soo fucking cool & so are the Hindu Love Gods I still love that LP

You are the only other guy I know who knows it man.[:D]

Oh there's fans out there: I laid that one on BHG and she loves it as well.
That was the record that got me into Zevon: I remember being very taken with that one and nipping down the library to see what else I could find by him...

I knew him before from Werewolves of London on the radio & a couple of live sessions but that LP made me really sit up.

Yep indeedy. It's a pretty great one. Hopefully they'll get around to putting it back out as part of this thing of reissuing all his stuff they've been doing over the last couple of years.

Ninebelowzero -> RE: Warm fuzzy feelings to make up for the awful politics and stuff! (11/6/2012 12:28:48 PM)

Moonhead -> RE: Warm fuzzy feelings to make up for the awful politics and stuff! (11/6/2012 12:34:09 PM)

Haven't heard that one yet. Is that more of the folksy stuff, or does he have a band on it?

Ninebelowzero -> RE: Warm fuzzy feelings to make up for the awful politics and stuff! (11/6/2012 12:38:58 PM)

Back with Crazy Horse. No folky stuff.

Moonhead -> RE: Warm fuzzy feelings to make up for the awful politics and stuff! (11/6/2012 12:39:44 PM)

Cool sunny and and ready to wait in line to make a vote count . I think I am the only one I know who is voting today . Makes me want to beat some heads .

Ninebelowzero -> RE: Warm fuzzy feelings to make up for the awful politics and stuff! (11/6/2012 12:42:01 PM)

Any time gotta love Neil.[:D]

Moonhead -> RE: Warm fuzzy feelings to make up for the awful politics and stuff! (11/6/2012 12:44:39 PM)

Yep, but I much prefer him when he starts throwing feedback about to the quiet country stuff: if I want that I'll listen to the Byrds or the Dead or somebody...

Only fascists go around proposing that we all have warm fuzzy feelings during times of intense political activity. [:'(]
