I hear Bachmann is in trouble too..
Please tell me that is true ?

CNN just said Bachmann won MN by about 3k votes. (I'm assuming that this is a live broadcast).

Did they confirm they were alive yet?

GreedyTop -> RE: Tick Tock... (11/7/2012 6:52:04 AM)

no idea. I'm home now, with no cable.

Moonhead -> RE: Tick Tock... (11/7/2012 6:57:19 AM)

Bachmann's brought out the zombie vote?
I bet they don't have any id to show at the polling station.
[:D]
"Why are they still coming here?"
"This used to be an important place in their lives..."

*hugs to you and the lovely Gothy Chick!!!*

mnottertail -> RE: Tick Tock... (11/7/2012 7:01:48 AM)

They actually called Bachmann at 3a central (AP).  Nobody will let this sort of talent go willingly.

mnottertail -> RE: Tick Tock... (11/7/2012 9:05:48 AM)

Well, let's hope that the teabaggers can make Obama a two-term president.  Give 'em something easy, since they are resoundingly inept.   I want to see them succeed at something.

this country is going to hell in a hand basket and makes the option of moving to another country quite appealing. I'm glad I have that option as opposed to the many that don't and have to live with the crap the american public deal them. I cannot believe the american public wants to put up with 4 more years of uncontrolled spending, false promises and false hopes.

Germany or England are so much more inviting after this debacle.

Lmfao.... The UK has a right leaning Prime Minister whose policies are failing to work. I guess that just leaves Germany.

Considering that the Right was calling Obama socialist, I am not sure how Germany got on his short list.
Sounds like another clueless sock.

Woodrow Wilson, elected our 28th President on Nov 5, 1912

NIce to see you got past your issues with enjoying anothers suffering. I had a feeling you would if Romney lost.

I am going to enjoy this election. I honestly don't like either candidate but I can look forward to the bigots on the losing side having meltdowns due to the results.

Whatever gets you through the day.

I've never had the gift for enjoying others' suffering, but maybe I'll try. It would be a welcome diversion from the bigots on the winning side trying to turn back my civil rights and filling seats on the Supreme Court.

You inspired me, my dear! Your plan to "enjoy this election" sounded fun, so I thought I'd give it a shot. [:)]

I should probably clarify the focus of my enjoyment. It's not the disappointment among Romney supporters. I know electoral dismay all too well, and those currently suffering it include any number of my loved ones. My focus, rather, was the way that the electorate bitch slapped the hubris of some of our more irksome posters--an arrogance summed up by (but not exclusive to) the "tick tock" meme that got old weeks before the election.

As for the Wilson photo, the 28th President struck me as an apt addition to the gallery of smiling faces. Woodrow Wilson was, if memory serves, the first Democratic President since Andrew Jackson to win reelection, and the 1916 race was a squeaker. So much so, in fact, that Wilson and his Vice President, Thomas Marshall, had worked out a plan to resign in the face of defeat and let Charles Evans Hughes take office immediately, so that the U.S. wouldn't have lame-duck leadership against the backdrop of the Great War. Given all that, I think Wilson would have a special appreciation for Obama's success yesterday.

Need help packing? I grew up in the moving business, so I'm happy to lend a deft (if I may say so) hand.

Tsk tsk... thats the bet rob and I had... unless you are gonna squirm out of it... err.. I mean... unless he is

he or she is not me... I don't do socks, and I don't renege on bets. President Obama is a handsome man, and I only wish I had hair like Vice President Biden.

There, both bets fulfilled for this week.

tazzygirl -> RE: Tick Tock... (11/7/2012 4:58:45 PM)

pft.... I gave you this week's already from your post last night. [:D]

And its officially over. Colorado went blue. Even if Ohio goes back to Romney, he cant win.

Damn Tazzy, that ass looks good enough to kiss. I'd be happy to do it (recreationally of course).... Were it not for the fact that there is now a LONG line of losers scheduled to kiss it by obligation, I'd certainly take a shot. Perhaps you, Lucy, and Gail might want toset up shifts or something so you can get the ordeal over with ... I mean, not telling wh where those foul little mouths have been.

It seems awfully quiet around here without our blabbering cukoo clocks. Where are they hiding tonight?

They've gone back to work, focusing on the things that matter, realizing that their guy didn't win, and now they'll be focused on covering their asses knowing that yours will be as exposed as a warm babies butt.

(Theirs won't be).
