ORIGINAL: TheHeretic Speaking of Colorado, how did the pot measure do? Looks like it passed... Absolutely, I personally don't partake in the sweet leaf, but it's potentially a great new form of tax dollars. ETA: I deleted a close quote thingy, but dont know where. This is my text: Tax revenue from purchase by locals, sure. But now how about TOURISM??? Not just even more income for the retailers (and tax for the state). The hotels, restaurants, etc that serve the hundreds of thousands who will visit & hang out to be able to smoke up legally! Money-wanna. Think Amsterdam. People are already planning their -trips-. Ooooh. OOohhh.... You know how sources for gambling, booze, fireworks, etc spring up right inside the border with other states in a state where they are legal... Same thing is gonna happen. Heck, the same outlets, if they exist now, will start carrying pot. Quick cross-border shopping trips.
