i hear you there... gave up on heels when my daughter was born ( well really when i was pregnant for her ) and haven't looked back since. well maybe i've looked back... i do love my shoes!... but i haven't given in to the urge to wear them again

Eh? How? Feckenell, Lynnxz, I've never worn either stockings or stiletto heels in my life, but I'm sure I could get into both without destroying either. I couldn't walk in them, true, but I could at least put them on.

Jesus. You don't expect a woman to be competent with an angle grinder or a circular saw, but you *do* expect her to be competent with things like shoes and nylons.

I'm deeply saddened about this, I can tell you. And it was my birthday recently, too - not that anyone here on CM cares. [:(]

Okay, hang on juuuuuuuuuust a minute. I can put on nylons without tearing them on stiletto heels. I can also operate a circular saw AND an angle grinder. Power tools are my friend, my dad used to make a lot of our furniture and I liked to help him. [:)]

tiggerspoohbear, you've got me beat. I can't wear stilettos for the life of me. But I can use a circular saw and angle grinder too. I have both in my shop at work. As well as a radial arm saw, two band saws, a MIG welder, table saw....... I love my shop

I can wear the damned stilettos, just don't ask me to walk far in them. It's drop me off at the door, bring me in, sit me down, walk me out to the door where the car is waiting and I can take the shoes or boots off. [;)]
